i also did the highbeam conversion today also.

it uses the newer style 9011 bulb in place of the 9005 bulb. only by cutting half of a tab on the new bulb

stock: 9005, 12.8V, 65W, 1700 lumens, 320 hours
new: 9011, 12.8V, 65W, 2530 lumens, 320 hours

as you can see, i get a shitload more lumens but the same wattage

the product was a Philips HIR1 9011 Standard Headlight Bulb

here's the info for the bulb modification ( i may throw this in the diy section)

Just remembered I had some money sitting in my paypal account and decided to spend it on fun instead of responsibilities

got one of these on the way, with the medium, fine and ultra fine ceramic rods.....don't want to dish out my waterstones sharpening knives on them, and this system is supposed to sharpen just about anything with an edge or a point.  Anyone have any experience with this system?

Muhle Shaving Soap - Sea Buckthorne scent

Mitchell's Wool Fat Shaving Soap

Floid "Genuine" Aftershave (Spain)

and a couple of these display stands

and for the responsible bits:

+filter+filter+crush ring because Kim still doesn't trust the idea of the fumoto drain valve (or however it's spelled)

I wish I could do that, but HIRs only come in single-filament...  I just went with slightly over-wattage 65/80 (IIRC) Osrams.

Ryan, I hope the wifey is doing ok.  Sorry to hear about the accident.

Me:  17's for the dirty 30.  I only ended up paying a hundred for them total, the tires are all ok but mismatched brands.

Glad she's alright. At least it wasnt your old WRX. Although that bimmer was nice, but still a crappy situation

My xmas present from my brother came in yesterday and i put it in at work today  It was on backorder for almost a month but i understand the company was in the process of relocating their shop. Perfect fit and finish, and a classy touch to the inside. You have to reuse the plastic rings to hold it in the console and hold the boot up against the shift knob(requires gluing the plastic rings to new shift boot no big deal if you arent scared of a little spray glue ). Im thinking about getting the ebrake boot too.

black pipes, black couplers, black intercooler

step 1 in making sure things look better when stuff starts getting back together in my other car.  no more multi-colored silicone all over the place, and varying shades of metals

LOL it already had a front mount and a useless scoop.  I'm still debating between scoopless or top mounted oil cooler

Yours is useless?  All mine does is shove air over a plastic box.

nah, it'll be functional scoop, or scoopless sleeper status.  Don't really want a window showing off the engine bay when it's parked on the streets of albany  :crazy2:

I don't have the torque box, i have alum pipeing to my stock filter, and the scoop forces air on the alum pipe and actually cools it...

Put an intercooler in, just cause.
