It's a RWD straight-6. I can't imagine it's too hard to work on.
Then you've CLEARLY never worked on one. They are an absolute BITCH to work on. One example? To change plugs, you have to remove:
• Turbos (depending)
• Intake Man. (Which is a multi-peice unit)
• Coil pack
• Throttle Body
Seriously, these things were designed to be built and then never touched. Basically everything driveshaft up to the engine will require octople-jointed arms AND fingers, or 5 hours of work.
But, I'm a sucker for un-modded versions of these, so I would do it. Then again, I have other cars around to fall back on. If it were gonna be my DD, I wouldn't do it, especially if I planned on selling it later.
You would have to get a winter beater though. I see you driving that around on snow covered roads I'll slit your throat.
You wouldn't have to, the Supra itself would punish him for even attempting to drive it in snow. Whoops I twitched, spin-slide-crash. I have a friend with an '89, he tried it in the snow once.
Once.He promptly went out and got a Corolla.
Fred, it sounds like you've kinda set yourself on it anyway, so will any of this matter? Probably not.

But that's fine. If it's actually what you want that badly, you won't mind the trouble of working on it (at first anyway), and you ought to be able to unload it for more than you got it for, especially if you keep it as is.
But it won't be easy.
