« on: October 16, 2011, 02:22:51 PM »
Has anyone figured out how to make an UEL header work on a 2.5i without any codes?? I had my header and catpipe from my old car on for a while and it sounded great but I couldnt get rid of the p2096 code..I tried the anti fouler and everything and It just wouldnt go away! Im sick of my shitty stock sound i miss my boxer rumble! If anyone can help let me know!

See if maybe someone can just turn off the code for you with a tactrix cable. 05 and newer are opensource tune-able.

You need to get a hold of someone with a tactrix cable so they can force readiness and the code won't come back

Quote me now while I'm feeling good about it.  I've decided a WRX will be the vehicle that replaces the Jeep.  I can't see paying Evo prices or justifying purchasing a halfassed/beat to death example for the same asinine amount of money.  For an affordable, point to point, all-weather capable performance car, a wagon fits the bill.  A swapped wagon, even better.

Off topic sort of. But what you got for an exhaust. Next year I'm doing my exhaust on my 2.5i. Definitely looking for some boxer rumble if I can get it.

There are a few people on here that have one. I believe Bryon has one, idipskoalmint has one, pong maybe as well. I would send one of them a PM and ask them.

Chris and Tyler, refer to the post #11

http://www.unysoc.org/board/index.php/topic,6984.0.html

I also got p2096 or whatever the number was during my install, for me it was a failing rear sensor. If you're pretty sure it's not dead, check the spliced ends for where you had to extend it, make sure it's plugged in all the way, these o2 sensors are somewhat delicate.

Here's some info on that specific code http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1131438

I have an extra rear that came off my oem midpipe. If you need it, you can have it and see if it works out for you. It's already cut right around the middle so it's just a sensor and 4 looms of wire sticking out. You'll need to splice, solder together and twist and tie your wires from your o2 sensor harness into this one
