Our local tuner Ray @ TurboTekTuning
« on: October 18, 2011, 07:42:41 PM »
Completely unsolicited, I wanted to post on here about how great it was having Ray from TurboTekTuning (www.turbotektuning.com work with me to get my car running nicely with my new upgrades. After having a bad experience with another tuner, Ray proved himself to be 100% reliable, friendly, NOT cocky, and very well priced. I wish I had dealt with him first. My car now pulls hard (it will pull harder when I decide it's time to dropped some forged pistons in there) and idles/drives just like it did when it was just a stage 2 tune.  :smitten: I would recommend Ray's services to anyone (and will!). He does just about anything from selling aftermarket parts at great prices, to installing, and tuning. Thankfully since moving from PA, Ray is now very close to most of us, living right in East Greenbush. With over a decade of experience tuning not just our cars, this guy knows how to do it right and make a turbo spool very nice. See my attached pic for some sexy curves

I posted in a different spot and almost forgot about giving Ray recognition here.

He changed my car into something that I was hoping for the day I got it.
It was fun stock but now my car is stealthy monster.

Thanks again to Ray

Glad to see a reputable tuner in EGB! I don't think there's much to tune yet for me, but I emailed myself this thread + Ray's email for when that day arises!

i talked to a guy with a black WRX who had ray do a stage 2 tune and he said the tune was fantastic and the prices were great. no first hand experience with him (yet) but i heard he can tune NA as well? if thats the case, i may have my car touched up a little bit, and from the guy i talked tos experience, and seemingly everyone here as well, ray will be my first choice

Is Ray still in the Albany area? I'm looking for a tuner up here. If not the next closest tuner I know is Brentuning in Mass. 06STi standalone AEM Series 2 tune on e85.

Ray is out of the area but swings by on occasion and books tunes. You could reach out to him and schedule something.

Steve at Quantum Raceworks in Ravena, NY also does tuning, I know he's a Cobb protuner but I haven't worked with him, seemed like a good guy (Ray worked out of his location).

Brentuning does good work, but it's a drive. I had already booked my tune with Bren before I found out about Steve@Quantum. Had I known I likely would have gone with Steve. I was tuned by Bren on 10/6/15.

Ray has tuned my car three times since Feb 2012. Each time due to a upgrade(built motor, fuel injectors, Dyno)

But....I'll prolly be trusting Steve to tune my car here shortly. He has a good background of tuning. Nice guy as well.
