I have an extra starter here that was not used so if anyone has a basic car that doesn't need a bypass (or could use a universal bypass) I can get you in as soon as tomorrow. That includes MANY subarus!!!!
Let me know and we'll see if we can get it done!

FYI... I did get my remote starter fixed.  He was pretty sure the control unit died.  It was basically sitting at the factory settings, and completely unresponsive to programming.

On a different note,  my fob has a trunk release... which my car doesn't have, so it does nothing.  I am looking at installing a new lock on my front door, and I was looking at a wireless fob deadbolt.   I was wondering,   with wireless fobs,  does the fob hold the programming, or the device remember the key fob signal?

Are you talking the sensing systems that sense they key within range and then automatically unlock??? Or just your basic keyless entry system (remote lock / unlock)?

just  basic lock unlock... although a proximity lock for the house would be ballin.

With just a basic keyless entry, the module itself controls the locks. The remote just sends a signal to the module and tells it to do its thing. Well, thats how it is for a car, so I am assuming its the same for a house... but i don't know 100%. If you are going where I think you are going, I doubt you would be able to connect the trunk release to the door but it MAY be possible. I would do some google searching... I'm sure someone has attempted it.

I had some extra vacation time remaining so I took all of next week off from work. This means there are plenty of install opportunities before Christmas. Let me know now so I can get any parts ordered and still get them in time.
The Christmas / Holiday sale ends next Sunday!!!

Holiday sale is over, but I can still offer competitive pricing. Installations are not just limited to remote starters either. If its electrical and related to a car, I can probably do it. This includes radios, amps, subs, HID's, fog lights, etc.

Its more than I can post in here so PM me and I can get you the new price... this includes any price quotes I've given in the past... re-PM or email me with the car and I'll shoot you the new quote!!! Not sure how long I will run this for so make sure to get with me ASAP!!!

Update: I recently picked up a new distributor which will cut my lead time on getting the parts down to a day in most cases. So no more waiting for parts to come in!!! I will be switching to Compustar units which are an over-all better unit than the ones I have been using. They offer many upgrade options that can be added at any time! Get with me and get your starter done asap!!!

I had kenny install my remote start yesterday (python 580) in my truck and he does great work.  I'm very particular with my vehicles and i was very reassured by his meticulous work.  All the wiring was done very clean.  I highly recommend him.  thanks again Kenny

  • Wider is better.

Hey man, I'm picking up a new winter/daily any it has power locks but no keyless.  I wanted to add keyless only but if I add an alarm I will save on insurance.  Can you price me out the least expensive alarm/keyless  or keyless only for an '00 Legacy L 5 speed.  I don't need the starter.

Thanks
Byron

You might be able to find the keyless alarm out of a legacy for cheaper then an aftermarket unit.

Yes, a factory unit will usually be cheaper but there are some downfalls to it.
1) Buying it used can open a huge can of worms. How long was it used, where / how was it stored once taken out of the car, etc. are all questions you may not get answered... and if it wasn't taken care of properly then it could end up causing additional problems. And if you buy it new, then you might as well buy a top of the line, fully decked out aftermarket b/c its going to cost about the same.
2) You will never get the range out of a factory unit that you would an aftermarket. Most factory units only have a small wire antenna that doesn't extend past the underside of the dash where there is lots of metal that will kill the range, so you end up usually only getting a few hundred feet out of it at most. Aftermarket units have a much longer antenna that actually mounts on the windshield which allows them to get up to 1500 ft of range on just a basic setup.

I'm re-upping this because although winter is over, its about that time to get an alarm, audio equipment, etc in those summer cars. Message me with your needs and I can get you a price!
