Wasnt sure where to start this thread but I was just wondering if anyone knew of somewhere local to get this oil? I've found 15-40 but thats it. I know everyone loves to debate about oil lol but this is what I'm gonna use but i cant find it! Help would be appreciated.

Buy it. Slam it. Boost it. Smash it,

Rotella T6 5w-40 is what is most commonly used around here. 15w-40 in the heavily built (forged piston) or high mileage loose engines.

I use T6 5w-40 and it used to quiet my car down considerably (high mileage piston slapper). Not so much with the new formula, but its still a good synthetic for the price.

Another good option is Napas premium Synthetic in 10w-40.

I liked 15w-40 for the summer in my Forester, but the oil pump was really worn out and it needed heavier oil at startup to build pressure quicker. Sort of a false sense of security since Im sure the volume wasn't good, but it ran that way for the 20,000 miles I had it, and as far as I know, is still running...

Eric

Quote me now while I'm feeling good about it.  I've decided a WRX will be the vehicle that replaces the Jeep.  I can't see paying Evo prices or justifying purchasing a halfassed/beat to death example for the same asinine amount of money.  For an affordable, point to point, all-weather capable performance car, a wagon fits the bill.  A swapped wagon, even better.

I wanted to try to get away from running a synthetic especially since its a brand new motor and everyone I've talked to said not to start with synthetic. And again with the 15-40 I don't want to hurt a brand new motor by having it be so thick in this weather. Kinda between a rock and a hard place lol

did you try walmart already?  I don't know about that specific weight, I just know that's where I found the best price on the big jugs of rotella
