Having not watched this in a few years... I can understand a mini would be awesome offloading, and could win.... Don't understand why Paris to Dakar is now in south America. Lol...

Obviously it's for political reasons. Last time I watched I remember a few dudes getting taken out due to land mines.. Lol, but that's all part of the race.
