Are the new seats heated?  My are disgustingly dirty but I don't want to lose the heat by switching them out.

No, they're just regular seats. They do have the side air bags though.

Went to work today - good.
Had to go to Warrensburg for work - also good, I get paid mileage and time.
Getting off Warrensburg exit and my transmission sounds really whiny with some light grinding and a little vibration - not good.
Vibration and noise only got worse on the ride back, so much so it feels like I have a bad wheel bearing (nothing was loose though, but I'll have that looked at). Found a used 06 impeza trans at Cahills for 385 shipped to Freds - good. Going to have a new to the car transmission in this weekend (maybe early next week) - very good.

All in all it was a mediocre day...car is kinda broken, but will be fixed this weekend after I throw some cash at it.

I also put the stock exhaust back on last night (still has the headers though  :-D).

yea man, it was a fortunate turn of events, sort of. I called JBap and they had one for 600 and they guy was all like the trasnfer cases might be different, for an 06 and between saab and subaru, and I was like "Dafuq?, the saab is all subaru" and he said that he knew that...i didnt say this but i though it "cool story bro, they have center diffs and transaxles, and as long as the final drive is the same this melon farmer is gonna fit like a lego in my car" they also charge a $75 core charge. needless to say, i did not go with that one, even though it had 15k less on it (the new to me one has 77k on it).

I'm having Fred do it. Time is a luxury lately that I have very little of.

upon further inspection, it does in fact seem like a need a wheel bearing in the rear. that would explain some of the extra noise i am hearing. i rocked the tire pretty good and i can hear/feel it move a little on the one side....balls. the transmission is still borked though, so that's normal. I descoverd today that it makes a nice faint crunchy sound when I turn the wheels while moving too.

SOLD!

I sold it back to Fred who I believe will be using this as his daily, so if you see a black NA Saabaru with gold RS six spokes ridin dirty, it's Fred, not me. Stay tuned for a post in the "Post a picture of your recent purchase" thread....
