Already missed LRP last Saturday, but WGI is coming up soon! (check registration for run group openings/details/etc.)

The 2015 High Performance Driving Event (HPDE) season is now set. Here is the schedule:
  • Saturday, May 9th – Lime Rock Park
  • Monday and Tuesday, June 8th and 9th – Watkins Glen International with NY Chapter
  • Fri to Sun, July 17th-19th – Calabogie Motorsports Park (Canada) with Ottawa Chapter
  • Saturday, September 12th – Lime Rock Park
  • Saturday and Sunday, October 17th-18th – Palmer Motorsports Park with Connecticut Valley Chapter
Registration for Patroon Lime Rock events should open February 13th, 2015. Keep an eye out for registration for Calabogie and Watkins Glen.

Check here for any updates as well:

Keep in mind, we have a volunteer/worker program as well, definitely gets your foot in the door if you're looking to attend but not sure if you want to shell out the cash:

Quote
"We have changed our Volunteer / worker program so you can earn “credits” in dollar values to lessen your expense for future events or even make it free for you. We have various positions available from assisting at Registration and Tech at certain events , working the grid / staging area all the way up to the Grid chief / Chief steward position. (We also need a pit out person(s) for our Lime Rock events.)
Some of these positions can be shared during an event which would allow you to drive as well and save a few dollars. And if you are really serious think of it as an apprenticeship for an open Grid Chief/ Chief Steward position where there are more responsibilities and built-in incentives.
If you would like to volunteer then sign up on the regular Event Registration located at patroon.motorsportreg.com and indicate what specialty you would like to volunteer for. **PLEASE NOTE** – We typically do not let novice entrants volunteer in order to make sure they can fully focus on learning and the safety aspects of the driving school. We will reach out to those who have volunteered prior to the event."

I had a blast at Palmer this weekend!  The mazda and I did rather well for ourselves.  My front wheels are still black from brake dust, and I haven't peeled the numbers off yet.   8-)

How 'bout that snow?  When you go to class and the instructor has "Snow Line" written on the board, you know "it's going to get interesting".

...made it through the sleet/snow and home in one piece, that's always a good thing!

Place was cold for sure, but Palmer/Whiskey Hill was lots of fun!  First time I had been there and can't explain how much fun that place is.  The elevation and camber makes it very interesting!  Great way to wrap up the year.
