Central NY Roll Call
« on: November 10, 2015, 04:05:21 PM »
Who here is between Utica and Rochester?   Seems like we have a growing number of members out here. If there is enough interest we will have to start doing a once a month meetup.

New to the post and area, 2007 Forester xt.  Moved up from nc to Rome, and can't find a decent shop to work on the Subaru.

+1.  I'm down in NC on the OBX on vacation.  (Sadly, packing up this morning and heading home.)

I'm guessing a work or family related move?  Can't imagine any other reason for leaving NC for NY.  :-)

Syracuse has had an influx of professionals from down south.  Some get sick of the heat/humidity, some do it for career advancement. Despite our struggles, we have some growing businesses and pretty low cost of living, and plentiful options if you like the outdoors.

Rome though,   is Rome.   OP can hit me up if you have any questions about Rome.  I lived there for quite a few years and still own my Rental property there.   Plus I do occasionally wander that way.

Rome is now home, married a girl from there and now we are here.  I do miss the south and the many race shops that were in our old home town of Fayetteville.  What type of property do you have in Rome madlife?  And outback_jon enjoy the banks as much as you can, who knows how long they will still be around after a few more hurricanes.

Its a two family home on upper George street.  One of those massive beautiful victorian houses was only cut into 2 units instead 5+ like most of them.   Its an awesome home, and I miss living in it,  but when work took me out to Syracuse,  I could not justify the 55 minute drive each way.   Especially back when gas was $4.50 a gallon.
