install/format. A clean start
« on: February 22, 2011, 05:34:46 PM »
How often do you guys reinstall your os and format.
Have had my win 7 running since a little before rc and think its time for a fresh install.  Slight pain to back up game saves and such but no biggie.

Once or twice per year, but that's usually because I blew something up toying around.

Never. No need to. There's a service pack on the way. Pay no attention to that guy's post up there. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ :-)

Edit: SP1 is here now:

On the mac, yes- on the Windows boxen- maybe every other year- depending on how good one is about using user accounts, as opposed to admin accounts. :(

Never, because there are no Windows in my house.

Even when I get a new PC, I just move the hard drive, no re-installation of anything needed.
