Oh yeah Dreaded1 still lives. Wasn't sure if I wanted to let it die with the Saabaru and move to Dreaded2.

I'm trying to convince my retired dad to go halfsies on a miata or old rx7 this afternoon, warming up by practicing on you.

I found a 14 ST at work and parked next to yesterday for comparison. 17s look much better, but the 14 is a better Sleeper.

This seems pretty straight forward for getting into the software and adding in some neat features. Like being able to roll down the windows with the key fob on hot summer days, and turning off the shift light.

When it started to rain the other day, I thought it would be great if cars had a button on the fob to close the windows.  Or at least have power to the "close" part of the switch when I run out to close them.

Not the same, but in my 11 year-old Mini, you can crack the windows and the moon roof with the key fob. Can't close them, though.

Everything has been settled. Monday I received a letter from his insurance company informing me they found me at fault for the accident and they would be going my insurance for payment. I emailed my company yesterday and they were working on it. Today I got a text from my company saying that $500 was credited to my account, which means my company got his to agree he was at fault and I got my deductible back.

Glad you got your deductible back.  Did that guy's company not see the police report before issuing that letter?  :?

Dashcams, baby.  I've been stalling on getting one but I think the time has come.  Glad they didn't find you at fault.

Probably not. I know I wouldn't send the police report to my insurance company if I was ticketed in an accident.

Just ordered the wiring kit so I can mount the old cam in the new car.

Seems pretty cut and dry after seeing the video
Surprised there wasn't anything to bleep out after the impact lol

My son said the same thing. "You handled that WAAAY better than I would have expected." Right after impact I knew it was totaled, screaming and yelling wasn't going to help any. I think I was more depressed than angry.

I can only imagine the conversation between insurance companies
His; "We are calling to recover costs from you because your client was at fault"
Mine: "You've got mail!"
His: "Shit, where do you want the check sent?"

Was that coming down the hill in Troy before you head up Rt40 towards Speigletown?  Used to be a Bongiorno pizzeria right there and a Stewart's down below?

not necessarily expecting  screaming and yelling, but some verbal reaction.
Every one of my accidents have always been met with some sort of calm, "matter of fact" profanity lol

That never should've even gotten to the point where your company charged you your deductable.
Insurance companies seem to be surprisingly lazy when it comes to arguing their own cases against other companies.  Couple that with the fact that it seems to be common practice to just automatically say  "your client was at fault" and see if it sticks....the  witless back and forth would be comical if it weren't so annoying, and potentially costly.
When mine got sideswiped (while being illegally passed)  i gave my statement to my company, along with pictures and the police report, everything they needed to claim zero liability.  But as soon as her company claimed i was at fault they just sort of threw up their hands and said  "okay". It took me calling back and arguing with my own company to get them to look at the evidence again and go  "oh yeah, you're right, we shouldn't be paying for this". I didn't give them any new information, just walked them through what they already had again

Damn Busta, that sucks! Dude has a handicap tag and fuzzy die on the rearview, no wonder... lol
:2funny:I wanted to say something about the not seeing him behind  the fuzzy dice, but the joke didn't work from that angle

That's technically good for an additional obstructed view ticket, isn't it?

Exactly. It happened right in front of Dunkin Donuts. They last time I drove it was to force it into the Dunkin parking lot.
