Poor rear defroster performance
« on: November 09, 2017, 06:16:25 PM »
My 09 Legacy has never had the same speed for defrosting the rear window the Outback had.  All the element traces are intact and do work, but it takes 15-20 minutes of on time to clear the frost we had this morning.  It's finally bugging me enough to investigate.

Any ideas what to check, or is this all I should be expecting ?

As always, check the fuse, could be partially hosed.  I'd also look at the connection at the rear window.  It may have come partially un-soldered.

I'm hoping to get in and check the fuse tomorrow.  I was hoping not to have to dig for the connections at the window, that trim looks like a pain to remove.
