Just curious on your opinion.  I have gotten a few on exhaust but since I haven't seen or heard alot, your opinion can help.  I'm leaning toward a stromung exhaust.  Was looking at a scoobysport axelback/ possibly catback is still being sold and seen a borla for sale.
After hearing that boxer roar yesterday, Im set on getting one soon.  Have been looking for one anyway.
Also, anyone ever bought used? good idea? The scoobysport and borla are for sale on nasioc

im sure used is fine.  cheaper that way

I have the espelir and I think I'd rather have the stromung.  looks stock and is not quite as loud.  I think it would be a good choice.  especially if you're ever in bethlehem.  (I don't know which cops patrol new baltimore)

I agreer with Erin.  Nothing wrong with buying used.  Just make sure there is no rust on the exhaust, and you should be good to go.  I have a Borla Hush, and have been very happy with it.  Stromung is very distinctive, and probably one of my favorite sounding exhausts. I've read good things about ScoobySport, but don't think I would be able to recognize it if I heard it.  Good Luck

I was looking at boxer4racing website and there are two.  xa catback and the regular cat.  Which one did you have? Which is better?

Jay,

Every part I have put on my WRX (the black 04 that you caravaned up with) has been used.

Exhaust.

Accessport.

Gauges.

All were in "like new" condition but at usually a 40-50% discount over new prices.  You can't go wrong.

well the scoobysport is just an axel back.  Figure catback is better.  Borla is still for sale. "i have a almost brand new borla 2.5" fully stainless steel exhaust system for 02+WRX. Used for around 1000km's. Also has a Magnaflow resonator welded in to tone the exhaust down a bit. This system sounds amazing. A bit to loud for me, so I replaced it with a Borla Hush system."  $350

And then the new stromung which I'm kinda leaning toward $550 then whatever shipping is.

Not sure what you are looking for in an exhaust.  I was looking for stealthy (or stock looking) without too big a compromise in power.  The original Borla is pretty loud (probably why the seller added the resonator). and I bought my Hush for around  $380 new.  The Hush is also 3" as oppossed to 2.5".

As far as the Stromungs go, the newer Xa is single tip- and I haven't heard it.  The older, more recognizable stromung has dual tip, sound really nice, and looks similar to stock.

It depends on what you are looking for I guess.

Bought my stromung last night.  Should be here in 8 days.  Curious, will I need new hangers or will my oem work?
