Apparently Rally New York is hosting a RallyX in Monticello, NY on Nov 12th...  Anyone wanna make a UNYSOC appearance?  I'd love to get my car a bit dirty...

Haha, Ivan's awesome ;)

Anyways, you think they'll have loaner helmets like we did at the RPI RallyX?  My buddy (he ran the Jetta) and i wanna come out for this one, but neither of us has the headgear...

yeah Ivan has loaner helmets.  I have fresh new tires this time with rim guards so they shouldn't fall off and I should actually have grip  8)

I too have purchased tires since sept...  I've got a set of Winterforce Snows on WRX rims that'll hopefully give me a bit more turn-in bite than my round-walled bridgestone all-seasons did!

Anyways, you guys think about tossing out a notice to the RallyX mailing list?  I'd like to see some of those guys again.

Also, what's up with the tentative RPI RallyX this winter?  Is there anything I (or we...i've got a few interested friends) can do to help?  Do we still need a site?  I REALLY wanna race in the snow at least once, and i'd rather do it safely and legally with a bunch of people ;)

Its $65 and I believe there are some pics somewhere on the site.  If you are worried about scratching your rims I would't recommend it.  Other then that its a blast and pretty safe for any car to enter.

Even though the registration says till November 4th, Ivan probably won't turn anyone away.

About the site for the RPI RallyCross, i asked around a bit at a farm i went to for a hayride...and they didn't seem totally adverse to it.  They use the field for rodeos and shit during the summer months, so my guess is that the field quality isn't too big a deal.  I'd investigate double M's farm (or something like that) down around exit 9 in latham...
