Test and Tune Tonite at the Valley
« on: May 03, 2006, 08:32:04 AM »
I'll probably be there as long as its not raining.  I haven't ran my car since it was stock, so I'm wondering what it will do with the little mods I do have. :-D
Hope to see some Subys there!

I thought you had to be in the 12's for them to require a helmet and 11.5 and under for them to require a cage..

yea that sucked.  the b*** of it is that the rain lasted MAYBE 20 minutes, and then it stopped ofr the most part.  guess the track was oto soaked to run though. oh well.. good thing these are every week.

Just so you know, the problem with LVD and the rain is two fold.

They don't have the proper equipment to dry it, and they are EXTREMELY worried about rain that collects in the crevices of the cars, then drips on the starting line. It can create a VERY dangerous situation at the line (I saw several cars come WAY closer than comfort with the wall last year at Musclepalooza before they canceled the racing due to rain).

Sucks that you guys went down and didn't really get any runs in.
Eric

Quote me now while I'm feeling good about it.  I've decided a WRX will be the vehicle that replaces the Jeep.  I can't see paying Evo prices or justifying purchasing a halfassed/beat to death example for the same asinine amount of money.  For an affordable, point to point, all-weather capable performance car, a wagon fits the bill.  A swapped wagon, even better.
