96 Impreza Wagon, no reverse
« on: June 02, 2006, 10:36:16 PM »
Well, a friend of mine lost reverse in his 96 Impreza Wagon, so he's looking for some advice. I'm not sure what the transmission in that generation Impreza would swap with... Its an automatic.

Here is the thread on v8buick.com

Also, if anyone has any leads on a good working transmission, that'd be helpful too... thanks :-D

Quote me now while I'm feeling good about it.  I've decided a WRX will be the vehicle that replaces the Jeep.  I can't see paying Evo prices or justifying purchasing a halfassed/beat to death example for the same asinine amount of money.  For an affordable, point to point, all-weather capable performance car, a wagon fits the bill.  A swapped wagon, even better.

there are a few here that I know will have a depth of knowledge on BMWs that is obscure and useful in situations like this.

Thanks Sean, its actually the guys wife and I don't think she's into cars really, so she'll probably wanna stick with an automatic. What is the transmission code for this? Is it the same as the Legacy's of the era?

Thanks,
ERic
