I meant in terms of handling I may be wussy and I already said I was going to come so I'm a little confused by that. A lot wrx's I've seen that have autox'ed have had springs/strurts/swaybars and/or some autox rims/tires. Power isn't going to do me much good in an autox if I personally can't control the vehicle.  I almost wish I had done suspension/handling BEFORE power. I admit that I have NO seat time, which is why I wanted to go and hopefully learn from people who are MUCH more experienced than I am, including yourself. When Lyndon brought up the idea of riding with someone or letting someone else show you what your car was capable of I thought it was a great idea...

Hey! My recomendation :-P Get S-Techs Vs H-Techs:-P I only have 1 mod on my car and am STS and it is S-tech Springs w/ blown stock shocks :-D If ya would like to ride in my car just to see how stiff they are you are very welcome to Just wait till the end of the day for the funruns :-D

Oo Ill drive your car for ya :-D

Ok maybe im i alil cranky today but i dont see why a stg2 wrx would be considered wussy for AX.  There are several cars there that have substantially less power than a wrx.  Why is your stg wahtever sooo wussy.  I think the driver may be the wussy part

I dont want to sound as harsh as you do but, are any of these modded WRX going to beet the times that my nearly stock 2.5RS, 165hp automatic slushbox, stuck in first gear can produce? O BTW I leave my backseat and spare tire in the trunk the whole time and my car has an extra 100lbs from sound deadening :-D and my alignment is OFF in a bad way the car loves to slip and slide at times ya arent expecting it...

Oh well Ill see ya guys there! Going to be fun!

I didnt really mean to upset you that much, I was just giving an example, of what is said below:

I meant in terms of handling I may be wussy and I already said I was going to come so I'm a little confused by that. A lot wrx's I've seen that have autox'ed have had springs/strurts/swaybars and/or some autox rims/tires. I really dont want ya to be pissed off at me, anyone who takes their car to a track, of any kind, is cool in my books! Much better than taking it to the street and drifting around a corner into a Minivan full of kids... True Story for someone I was streetracing, in a 93 legacy turbo, when I was 16... Noone was injured but it made me realize that street racing was a bad idea... I still talk to that guy today and he hasnt stopped being stupid on the street, I try to convince him to come to the autox because it works for me, to stop me from driving like a maniac on the street...

No problems?

oK?

Hope to see everyone there and Good Luck tommorow!

Just hope it doesnt rain... I dont have any tires w/ any tread left on them...

^^^ Don't feel bad Matt. I don't even get the wave in the Outback.
Eric

Quote me now while I'm feeling good about it.  I've decided a WRX will be the vehicle that replaces the Jeep.  I can't see paying Evo prices or justifying purchasing a halfassed/beat to death example for the same asinine amount of money.  For an affordable, point to point, all-weather capable performance car, a wagon fits the bill.  A swapped wagon, even better.

HOORAY that was a blast!!! First time out there, but definitely not my last. Congrats to sean and tom for going 1, 2 in SM,  byron and danielle for going 1 and 3 in sts, and lyndon for ... sorry i dont remember

On a personal note, my first run was a 48.9, but by the end of the day and some instruction from Bruce, best clean time 42.6 :)  I had a ton of fun, it was awesome and I think its safe to say that I'm hooked.  I'll probably see you all at ACC aug 20th!

I'll get pics online soon!

Very nice times DarroJ, almost identical to my first runs.  I am glad you had fun with it and wish I could’ve been there.

Good driving guys, I see there were a lot of top times from the Soc.

Lyndo- how you liking them new wheels/tires you are sporting?

Well, I will try to get to the next one i guess.

First in CSP :-P I think he had 35.5

Actually I really need new tires and alignment now! :-P After my cords were exposed (2laps) my car was just plowing bad :-\ Positive Camber and loads of toe in are pretty useless in an AutoX :-P

I have 20 days to get all this done.. Hmm maybe F+R Swaybars  too :-P My car is already too loose to go w/ just the rear...

Yes the SM class was damn close the top 3 were all w/in .5 a second

I had 39.6xx

Nothing compared to byrons' 36.2 kinda glad I got bumped

hey Rob! Does your brother have a Green Lgt with bronze wheels? I think I saw him the other day leaving work, I waved but... like always dont get the wave back in the bimmer now.

Sorry - Matt- I must have been braindead at the time; just leaving work...  I work right off Exit 6 in Latham- sorry to see you didn't make it today!

As for everyone else that showed up, I felt kinda bad I didn't really get to talk much today - just seemed like lots of running around...

But- Congrats to everyone to who made it today!  Tom - great job and smooth!  Yeah, the cords definitely don't help traction... :(  Jeff- great job as well - hopefully we'll get to see you make it to more of the events!  And Drew- excellent job also!

Mr. Styles- it's been a long time coming- 1st in SM!  Woohoo!  And Byron and Danielle - both fast and smooth as usual!

Now, I feel kinda bad cause I still 'greatly enjoy' autocrossing my crx- but today was definitely the day- the new tire/wheel combo (if Sean hasn't heard me say it enough- it's the setup I've always wanted for my crx!) - 13x8.5 (I think, maybe 9) Panasport C8-13's and a nice new set of 215/50/13 Kumho Ectsa v710's- I just have to say - my car has never stuck that well before- ever!  Hopefully I can get used to them a little more before they really start to go south!  But- I'm definitely glad Andy did beat my time in the end.  I definitely would have felt really bad beating his EP Rabbit in my CSP crx- considering they were his old rims!

The next event for MoHud is August 20th, I'm pretty sure, at ACC in Glens Falls.  Hopefully we can get more people to come and try it out!  There's a couple others coming up soon as well - next Sunday is a CNY event out at Seneca Army Depot (same place they just had the Divisionals) and from what I've heard - it's _well_ worth the 3+ hour drive, well, from my house.

Anywho - congrats again to everyone and I'm going to bed!

Wow, sorry I missed round 4 at FMCC! Congrats to all that represented the soch!

Matt, I'm pretty sure Lyndon sometimes drives unconsious. Maybe honking and and telling him he's #1 might get his attention
... possibly he'll do the dorky wave back! ...that's what I do sometimes!

I'm hoping to attend ACC's race on 8/20. Hope to see as many of you guys there as possible!

What - the dorky wave?  Or telling me I'm numero uno?  There's so many disgruntled drivers on the northway at 5:30-ish; getting yelled at, flipped off, or any sort of derogatory salutation is like a regular occasion!

Bah!

And yes - you _will_ be at ACC because if you don't take your car- you _will_ co-drive mine... DURTAY!

Question about the GoKart.........

For the front suspension, is that Srtuts and Springs or is it Struts and Torsion Bars?

If it is torsionbars bars what kind do you have and where did you get them? Im looking to upgrade mine on my Integra.... (maybe 2 gokarts next season :-D)

Ah - it's the special Honduh front suspension! Front upper- and lower-control arms with shocks (not struts) and springs- depending on the year of your integra you may have torsion bars or upper- and lower-control arms.  I know on the older crx's - 84-87 - they had front torsion bars with struts (not shocks) - I'm not sure what year exactly they stopped using the torsion bars on the front of the integra though...  Lightspeed - IIRC - made aftermarket/performance/higher spring rated torsion bars for the crx's - I'd assume they made them as well for the Integra's - I want to say that I remember people swapping the integra torsion bars onto the crx's (for their higher spring rates) but that certainly would not help your integra...  Also OPM makes them as well - and I've heard of people running  up to 29mm front torsion bars - which I believe were the stiffest you could run on them (without damaging structural integrity of the unibody rails where they mount, unless you feel like doing some welding and bracing and whatnot)  If nothing else - google is your friend - I've found a few mentions of them on at least two other 'common' Honduh/Acura forum sites...
