So when is it? I did a quick read through and didn't see a date. It does look like a lot of fun, except cleaning my car after it!

Is this going to be on saterday again, or will it be on sunday........ if its sunday I'll be there .  I could possibly help with soom of the food as well, seeing as I own a restaurant :-D!!  Call me at the restaurant if you need to set-up some food for the event, It's the East End Eatery here in Glens Falls (745-0747). I'm closed on sundays so I would be able to bring whatever you need on that day.

Later,

James

Alright so I talked to Gus, the guy in charge, and here are some details!

The date is set for sunday october 1st.  As far as food goes James, let me know what kind of deal you were looking set up (pm me)  We've had a bunch of hotdogs and that stuff donated by a local stewarts, but more food sponsoring wouldn't hurt the event :)  Sounds like redbull will be coming too with drinks and music.

If you definitely want in, either post in the nasioc thread or just let me know and I'll talk with Gus.

Well, I'll need to get some more details from ya, but I definetly want to be involved in this.  I was originally thinking hotdogs/hamburgers but it looks like you already got those, so I can do pizza/garlic knots/etc. at a very good deal ..... I'll try and see if I can do some work with fitzgerald bros. for the soda also...call me at the rest. when you get the chance 2-4 pm is the best time to call   745-0747

I'm in.  This event was an unimaginably fun time last year, almost like a big party.  Also my first Rally-X:

i was thinking of going to this rallyx because its sooo close

but im affraid it will ruin my paint (rock chips)

a temporary solution would be to wrap my car in blue painters tape

hmm good call.  I might have to do that too, I really don't want my paint killed.  Looks like I'll be driving the silver and blue WRX :)

Haha - I'm wondering what I could drive that wouldn't break too quickly...  The crx, well, stuff would just vibrate right off the car if not snap off...  The legacy works just fine, but I'm afraid of all the little things that are normally worn may break...  just how 'bumpy' do the courses get?  I'm assuming they get rutted up to some degree, but how about stutter-like bumps?  That's what I'd be really worried about...

Anyone have have input?

I'd like to run the legacy, but I'm just a little worried...

I dont think the rock's will be too bad. It looks like just a field. That and in the other thread a bunch of have newer car's and they don't seem to be too worried. Anyways battle scars add charactor!

Moose, how was it last year (field wise)?  I know its not at the same place this year as last year... but it may give some idea how rough things got.  I know I'd be bringing my DD, so I cant really afford to screw it up

If it's anything like the same place as last year then it's just a big field with a course marked out in cones.  That way the rocks that show up usually aren't any larger than golf balls, so no suspension damage...and i stuck a set of mudflaps on my car and it looks showroom new after a day of rallyX.  They really work pretty well ;)

My buddy used blue painter's tape with much success on his jetta.

What i told myself i'd do at my first rallyX was run until the course got rough enough that i was worried about my car (it's my only one).  It was too fun to stop though ;)

To date, my only injuriy is  scraped oil pan from a rallynewyork rallyX, and that was only because i was being dumb.  Skidplate for the win!

Guys ran stock escorts and accords with no problems.  Almost any subaru's better off than that instantly.

Who wants to have a mudflap making party? I have the dimensions for the WRC flaps from scoobymods, but I haven't bought the material. Anyone know a cheap place to get polyurethane sheets? probably 1/8" would work fine.

Id be willing to make some mudflaps

Robp117, has been saying that he's going to make some for years now.  I believe he has some dimension and perhaps the materials

In any case there will be atleast a couple who will be down to make some flaps

It might be a little schiesty to the RallyArmor guys, but if you want i can show up at the mudflap party with my RallyArmor mudflaps, and you guys can just trace 'em... ;)  Depends on when you're doin it.  Mine work great, and i haven't gotten a single speck of road scum (dirt, snow, tar, you name it) on my car since i put 'em on a year ago.

FYI... I ordered some material from mcmaster-carr today... its neoprene rubber, 1/8".  I'll post more info once I get the material and make sure its good (though it should be).  I'm going to make the ones as seen on Scooby Mods so it should be massive protection.  Maybe I'll have it done before the next mohud, but I couldn't get it shippped to me at school.

oh yeah, material was $27 shipped  :-) I'll keep you guys updated!
