Well all I got to say is that FASTONE and LYDON (MR.HONDA) definitely did DO IT
The course was such a mud mess that awd cars were getting stuck but not Fastone or Lydon  :idiot2:

A very important sponsor of the event Capital Land Motors of Scotia
Call Fred at 399-9999 for any parts that you may need

One of the only sponsors that stayed and competed

Fastone staging for his first run (Fred)

Lined up to launch

WASH ME  :uglystupid2:

Mr. Honda (Lydon)

Yeah - it was quite entertaining... :)

Cold, rain, and wind.  Oh yeah, and mud.  But...

It was lots of fun!  Granted washing the mud out of my car last night was not so much fun- all I could think of is how bad the motorcycles would get in mud races... then think of a car in a mud race.  Yeah- mud packed into every spot you couldn't even think of.

But it was lots of fun- and certainly hoping to make it the next one!  The course revisions, well, were pretty much on the fly- the mud in sections was so bad that for some of the 2wd cars (and some of the AWD cars as well, actually), well- let's just say that some cars couldn't quite make it around the course, which had already been shortened to accomodate the conditions.  Granted if it's that muddy next time, I may have to pass; definitely puts a beating on all bushings/seals/etc. when you pack all that mud into everywhere it shouldn't go with the pressure washer. :(

I just want to say thanks to darroj for the springs- byroll for the perches- bradleyGT for the spring compresser and late night delivery service- otherwise, well, I would have slept through Sunday.  Thanks again to Fred and Capitaland for helping sponsor the event!  Mr. & Mrs. Dunkley with the pictures, Styles and the other half, Bobert, Paul, and everyone else- glad to see everyone that did make it there- hopefully it'll be a little better conditions next time and more people will come and run in the event!

What was it, took us just over 2 and a half hours to get the underside clean-ish? Wonder how many people got laughs from people seeing their cars covered with mud. I know Lyndon had a few. Two guys were at a used car dealership (Ringer's?) Hudson Falls loking at an older red Moosetang GT with white stripes and did a double take at Lyndon's mud mobile. They got a laugh out of it. Hope they noticed the numbers (or at least where they were) and realized it was a race. Unlike the guy at Stewarts that came in his with his pickup (that will never get that dirty) and he could just shake his head. Prolly thinkin these guys are :idiot2:... I just wish I got there a little bit earlier to see at least a little more than just the last runs. That looked like a whole lot of fun behind the wheel! Thanks to all those involved with putting on such a great event! Congrats to all that attended! You guys made me want to beat the hell out of an Escort that we have!! Hopefully next time will have much better driving conditions because I'm not too sure it could've been worse...

The event was insane!!!

hehehe

I'm so glad everyone had so much fun. I really appreciate how we worked together as a team and managed a wonderful hardcore rally style event! Yes, next time less rain and more dry hard packed soil is in the works.

Sorry I missed this, but I was there in Spirit. Fred was using my wheels and formerly my tires (they're his now :D ). Always wanted to do this with the STi and never got the chance. The Outback handles like poo so I doubt you'll ever see that out there. Looks like a blast though. Nice to see an Evo with some balls
Eric

Quote me now while I'm feeling good about it.  I've decided a WRX will be the vehicle that replaces the Jeep.  I can't see paying Evo prices or justifying purchasing a halfassed/beat to death example for the same asinine amount of money.  For an affordable, point to point, all-weather capable performance car, a wagon fits the bill.  A swapped wagon, even better.

Well, I haven't really finished washing my car yet... still lots of chunks crammed in here and there, but it's clean enough to drive around for now.

I believe there were a couple cars that had some minor issues with bumper clips; there was one guy with a blue wrx that may have some motor probs sometime soon - the rev limiter was his friend... :)
