3.7qts for 5speed????

a wrx 5 speed takes 3.7 qts???? is this right? it seems like alot to me :buck2:

also...what about 85w140 valvoline syn?.... too thick?

Thats what we run in the rearend of a ford super-duty.... normally about 2.5-3.5 quarts but thats a solid rearend...

I had to fill up my BMW trans and that took 2.5, and I dont know how empty it was....  Fords use auto-trans fluid in their manual gearboxes... Perhaps youll just have to read your owners manual and see what it takes and how much....

BTW: I want a ride in this bitch when everything is done ;)

lol im no help! never worked on a subaru b4 other than oilchanges and suspensions...

when i changed the gear oi l in the tranny in my RS last, i think it took almost 2qts,  i could be wrong, ive checked it many times since, and it shows its good. maybe if yours was totally dry, it would take a bit more?   hows it coming???
