NEED AN STI FOR BRAKE PAD TESTING
« on: February 21, 2007, 12:08:52 PM »
I am looking for someone who is in need of some brake pads for an sti local to the albany/glens falls area. i found out that GM carries replacement brake pads for the STI. GM pads are actually decent brake pads. they have to be certified unlike many other makes in the aftermarket. i was at a GM brake seminar last night and was able to talk to the president of GM Durastop brake. and i brought up an STI. he said they had just released pads for it and gave me the part #'s for them. i have a set on order and i'd like to install them then drive the car a little to test for noise/fitment/dust etc. it would probally only take an afternoon. so if you are up to it please contact me so i can make this happen.  If they do work as good as the other gm brakes we put on all the vehicles here. i will be stocking them at capland.

thanks

Too bad I don't have mine anymore, Freddy... :(
Eric

Quote me now while I'm feeling good about it.  I've decided a WRX will be the vehicle that replaces the Jeep.  I can't see paying Evo prices or justifying purchasing a halfassed/beat to death example for the same asinine amount of money.  For an affordable, point to point, all-weather capable performance car, a wagon fits the bill.  A swapped wagon, even better.
