If you've poked around Nasioc, then I'm sure you've read the reviews of Vivid. If not, you should.
As far as the hoods themselves, make sure they're a quality weave. There's actually a company in ballston spa that does CF stuff...Hey Byron,? who are they again? Maybe they could use youre hood as a template and give you a cf one at cost...
Either way, be careful of any chips you get on it. Friend of mine (Mud Puppy at Nabisco) has one that had small chips at the front of the hood. They turned into hood-long cracks through the winter...maybe getting Stonguard would do some good....it would protect our thin paint too.
