Why hoodscoop don't fit?!?

Well, I finally got the c/f hoodscoop painted by Ron's in Genns Falls. The paint match is perfect. This is the same guy who did byron's STi. I dunno how competitive he is on prices because I didn't check. I do know that the paint match is perfect, and the quality is better than stock.
Anyway, I tried to put it on, and much to my suprise, the bolts didn't line up. at all. Maybe two of them line up with the factory holes, the rest require Filing, and one of them could even have a whole new hole drilled. I'm a bit pissed. I'm also stubborn. After all, I already fixed the damage, and paid to have it painted.
Anybody out there see the problem with filing at the holes on the hood?
Meanwhile, I'm sending a message to Daddy's SCP, the vendor I bought the part from. maybe I can get soem cash back...

hey Pat, I don't think you are alone.  From what I have read, the cf hood scoops were designed on the JDM cars, and thats why most of them don't fit the USDM cars without "slight" modification.  Good luck with it.

YEah, Daddy emailed me back....evidently they require filing. It even said to an their website....guess I should have checked that first.

Yeah, two minutes after I posted, I wandered into the meet section, and found pictures. I figured nobody else would notice the post though, you n I are the only ones to post in this thread!
