I am intending to go as well - if you don't email Russ, you can always post up the obligatory 'sign me up' on the MoHud forum as well:

Well its hard to say exactly how many runs you'll get but i can shed a little light on the test and tune.

Basically its not like the strict event formatt.  You have to volunteer to work just as a normal race event however the amount and length of your volunteering is completely up to you.

What I did last year was volunteer to shag cones for a couple of hours straight, then did all my runs almost back to back and lefted.  I worked from 10-1 and then did all my runs afterward.  I did 6 or 7 runs then packed up and lefted by 2:30.

Test and tunes are great because you decide when you want to work, run, and leave.

My guess to why they limited the amount of participants is so that alot of people dont just take laps all morning and then skate off without working.  If you do that you'll be asked to not return to a MoHud event :knuppel2:

On the other hand - it's a safer car no?

(red actually is a hard color to see - they say green is most visible).

I'll be there for both days. Looking forward to meeting you guys again.

The weekend recap:

There couldn't have been better weather on saturday for the event.  Hot and sunny are typically two words I wouldnt use to describe a Mohud AX.  Although the test and tune on saturday was limited to 40 cars.  Only 23 entered.  The drivers were split up into two run groups.  Each run group received a 45 minute heat in the morning.  Aside from any mechanical failure or need for a break, many people were able to do atleast 6 or 7 runs in the first heat.  The course was short and simple formatt to allow drivers to learn how their cars would respond.  After a break for lunch, the afternoon heats begun.  The heats were to be only 30mins in length but due to the small amount of drivers and effecient workers, that time was arbitary.  Like the first heat most drivers had the chance to do 6 or 7 runs.  Overall the test and tune was a great opprotunity to really push the limits of traction before spinning.

Sunday was the second points event for MoHud region.  The weather was overcast and humid with the occasional cool breeze.  Just as the last heat was about to start, the sky opened up and begun to pour.  Thunder was followed by lightening and threatened to end the competition.  For about 20mins drivers sat int thier cars anticipating the rain "letting up".  As quickly as the rain started it ceesed and drivers were able to start their runs.  This kind of weather sorta plagues the 2nd run group.  It always seems to rain on the 2nd run group when their working and yesterday, it caused a 20min delay.  I aways drive in that runs group so i wasnt overally pleased.

Congratulations to everyone who participated

Nice recap
Eric

Quote me now while I'm feeling good about it.  I've decided a WRX will be the vehicle that replaces the Jeep.  I can't see paying Evo prices or justifying purchasing a halfassed/beat to death example for the same asinine amount of money.  For an affordable, point to point, all-weather capable performance car, a wagon fits the bill.  A swapped wagon, even better.
