should this turbo be used?
« on: May 10, 2007, 02:31:11 PM »
I have an install going on in my garage right now and the parts finally showed up. But the turbo came with this small dent.  It is the last VF-34 that gruppe-s has and his car has been ripped apart in my garage for 5 days now.  Should I install this turbo? (BTW I have told him about it already. I just want other opinions)

How far down is it dented in?  If it's just that outer lip maybe it could be knocked back out a little with a hammer or something..
Either way, that sucks and I'd be pissed as hell  :tickedoff:

the housing isn't tweaked? I guess if the shaft spins freely then it would be fine...

Heat it up and try banging it back straight...  :knuppel2:

looks like gruppe-s is picking it up tomorrow and as soon as they see it's picked up they are shipping a new one. good customer service there, good people.
