I'm very depressed, the transmission on my 05 WRX w/ 60kmi started slipping about a week ago........only does it when the car is cold, once it warms up it runs well, although you can tell its not 100%.....
I took it into Goldstein Subaru

and got into an argument with the service manager.....
They arent sure if it will be covered because when I brought it in the mileage read 60,012 miles. (its a 60 mile drive to the dealer from where I live and I made the appoitment 2 days prior so I was around 59,850 when it was made)

So they have to wait to get word from subaru on whether they can cover it, meanwhile i'm paying 60$/day for a rental car that i've had since thursday, and will have for who knows how long. (NO LOANERS AT GOLDSTEIN, ALTHOUGH PIDDLY DEALERS NEAR ME CAN OFFER THEM

)
This is the fourth time i've brought this car in (in less than a year) and the third time i've been accused of bottoming it out by the service manager. Apparently there is a dent in the transmission pan so they feel its been beaten. (Which it hasnt) Only problem with that is when I picked it up originally, on the way home the check engine light came on and when I brought it in I was accused of bottoming it out because the downpipe was cracked. They offered to replace it when I explained i had never bottomed it out........
When I got it back it had new gaskets on it and thats it..........so much for service at goldstein.
I will never ever ever ever shop there again, or get service there, and I would urge others to avoid them. This is not the extent of my negative experiences there, but I cant type all day...

and I have a friend who was once big on this message board to confirm it.... If they will not cover the replacement transmission (automatic) can anyone tell me what i'm looking at spending and where is a good import shop, or a dealer I can trust...
Thank you!
