July 15th - MoHud SCCA event at FMCC
« on: July 08, 2007, 11:50:57 PM »
I'm planning on going- currently re-assembling my 'new' engine - hopefully I'll be able to get it all together and 'adequately' broken-in (somehow) by this weekend.  If not, I may have to push Bob into doing his clutch/flywheel swap this week...

Anyone else?  Granted it is a little early, but the weather is supposed to be good.

I'm not going to be autocrossing for a few more paychecks:
Rear sway bar, Coilovers, backup engine.

Thanks for the offer, sir- but I pretty much have to get it together, tuned to some degree, and broken in to some degree before the weekend...  so if it's not ready before Saturday, I'll be driving something else... I could borrow my brother's tires/wheels and run the Legacy in whatever street-prepared class... haha.

Are you still stock? Or did you install those coil-overs yet?

Bah - it's all about beating the crap out of your car!  You know, driving your car how it was intended to be driven!  And having a great time doing it!  Not how good or bad you do compared to others...  well, okay, maybe that does count a little.

Good to hear you're coming, though!

Nope. Gonna do it all stock for now. I've been told if I put the coilovers on, they'd bump me up into a higher class, which is not what I would like. Anyone have an idea of which class I'd be in? Bone stock 05 LGT Limited.

STX for coilovers

unless, you have an ECU flash, then you are Street Prepared... I can't remeber if you said you did or not.. Thought I remembered you having to change something... (Dont answer this question, if you dont want to)

It's not really a big deal if you do, lots of people have ran STX without claiming their ECU tuning... If its your first event' your better off just going stock though, just see how you like competing ;) Dont tell anyone else in your class you have ANYTHING or they MAY protest you.... Byron should be nice enough to let you run stock for your first event

Well I will most likely see you there tomorrow ;) I'll either be in a Blue Mini Cooper S or a Burgundy BMW 540...

Unysoc Event Recap:

ESP:
1st place: Cossey
2nd place: John (LimitedWRX)

SM:
1st: EJ  ---- 54.xxx wows
2nd: Byron (ByRoll01) - 55.xxx
3rd: DJ ---- 55.xxx
4th: Sean (VFStyles) - 56.4xx
5th: Zeke - Mini Cooper owner - 58.2xx

I think my best was about .3 seconds slower than Zeke, but that was after a cone penalty... I think I only got one cone on my best run, I was down @ 56.5 on half of my runs... I'm not sure if Danielle got by me or not... But I didn't have a single clean run... Damn cones were everywhere!

Don't hold me to any of the times I listed... Results wont be out for a while since there was sooo many cones being hit... I have a very bad memory  :idiot2:

And I think we ALL know who won CSP... Cause well He normally does ;) Despite having a cooling system issue.... He just needs to learn to show up on time for these things ;-)

Thanks for the recap.  I demand pictures!

If the deal for the BC legacy falls through, I'm only a set of coilovers away from the next autox, unless I run on the stock wheels n' tires.

There was 6 people in ESP and after the first 'round' I was about 3seconds behind John. After the second round, I had a passenger in my last and only clean run and managed a 61.something. I had a great time and I'll definitely be there at ACC (or FMCC) 8/12. ESP is good for me. John was telling me I have a lot more room for mods. After coilovers, swaybars, and a few other mods, I'll still be in ESP.
