Whats your vaccum at idle?
« on: March 05, 2004, 11:17:46 AM »
I remember my idle vaccum being ~.5 when I bought her and now its at ~.75... Is this normal or do I have a symptom of something bad? It boosts all the way to .1mpa (stock STi boost guage) when I push it. Im not stock but havent modded my car yet as it came with an uppipe and vishnu piggyback from the last owner.
Anyways please post your mods (intake/exhaust/engine only) and vaccum at idle.
Thanks

ok that stock boost gauge is the BIGGEST POS gauge i have ever seen

the only time it is accurate is when under pressure so if it read like +.15 then u know somethign is worng cause thats 21 psi .1=14, .05=7psi

my vacuum is 53-55cm/Hg or approx 21 in/Hg
Compression is rock solid at 190 across all four.
