In daily commute traffic, about 19.  Highway is high 20's, maybe even 30 on long trips (only 1 so far).  The domtune has helped some, along with the bedcover.  The N/A's can get upwards of 30 cruising, but the engine is rather gutless for the size of the vehicle and you have to push it harder.

Your 5-cyl GM should get about the same milage stock and has more power than me stock.  My dad has the colorado with a cat-back exhaust and it freed up 1-2mpg.

I am averaging about 19-20 mpg too...cummute for work and weekend driving.
My commute consists of I87 Exit 8 down to SUNY on Western ave.
I stay in the middle lane doing 65 the whole way. I may order the bed cover but I heard the gains on the 5' bed are minimal.

Those red, white, and blue signs that say '87', those are the speed limit markers right?  :-)

exactly, my friend made fun of me once for getting to queensbury so fast, he goes "ya know the sign 87 doesnt mean the speed limit right!?!?" i said WHAT, no wayyy....

and lucky you dave those are some decent numbers, my RS was getting worse than Matts STi, i figured to only get about 22 on the highway, but then again he has a 6th gear!!

did you get an alignment on the baja yet, or are you wating to get all your numbers correct on the coilovers!?!

I marked the cam bolt on my stock struts, so when I pulled them, I dropped the bolt in the coilovers outside the car, and marked the coilovers to the same setting as the stock struts.  The rear has automatcally developed some mild negative camber due to the drop, but the fronts need to be dialed in.  I also want to drop the front a smidgeon more.

On that note, anyone got a good alignment shop I can go to that will align the car to my specs?

Ask styles.
Eric

Quote me now while I'm feeling good about it.  I've decided a WRX will be the vehicle that replaces the Jeep.  I can't see paying Evo prices or justifying purchasing a halfassed/beat to death example for the same asinine amount of money.  For an affordable, point to point, all-weather capable performance car, a wagon fits the bill.  A swapped wagon, even better.

I've yet to break the 23mpg mark on the STi - oh well (gotta pay to play, right?).

Really?  Wow, I get about 23-24 with like 60/40 city/highway driving.  Purely highway (doing 72-74), I get around 34-36.

Stage 2 bumped my numbers up about 2mpg.  The "economy mode" map on the AP actually bumped me to around 37 mpg highway, but it makes the car have no balls and crappy city mileage.  I tried it a few times on my 6 hour trips to PA.

I'm going to have to politely ask the gas milage conversation, etc to move to The Lounge please.

However, dave bashing can stay here.

You're an overzealous, pompous ass of a mod. Shut up and suck up the offtopic banter stealing the thunder of your ugly wanna-be truck of a car.

:D Fine fine. You caught on.

I also don't have a car payment ;)

Or the coilovered OBXT I was going to have :(

I'm just jealous that you have done everything I was going to do... except I was using bigger than stock tires.

I only met you once in person, but I though I got a fair read of your personality to calibrate my sarcas-o-meter.  And car payments FTL.

It'll all be worth it though.  in 8-10 years I'd like to enter the baja in the Pike's peak hillclimb (And keep my not-yet-obtained subaru coupe for DD'ing.)  A guy can dream .

I'm never sarcastic.

I just realized my post whoring has paid off with this being my 2002 post. A good number, and a good BMW.
