So, saw the fastone, and we could bareley get the sound to duplicate.  I heard it a tiny bit and fred heard it once.  The rain was making it a PITA.

Stuff it could also be:
-Road noise (it does tend to happen near the same spots every day.)
-echoes from the front of the cabin (ie engine, turbo) bouncing off the vertical rear window and back at my head.

I'll spend the next couple days driving with the radio off.  I may also trade cars with al for a day, so she can do just that.

Thanks for the idea greg.   :-)

what a pita.   So how'd it go down at the county clerk's?

Yeah, I've seen those stickers - I think it's rally something.com, I forget exactly. But same place where they have the "pray for rain" stickers I think.

Didn't hear any noise at all today.

And the freakin' town clerk wasn't there at 4:55 yesterday!  I guess I'll call today to make sure he'll be there for his posted hours.

OH MY GOD!!!  Today, before work, I went outside and found my tire was flat.  Re-inflated it and it seemed to hold pressure.  Couldn't find a hole.  Held it all day, when I got home, i looked and saw a screw head sticking out of my tread.  Pulled the screw and patched it.

It was a 2" long BOLT.  Complete with washer.  I thought I felt some vibration in the steering... :buck2:  This is NOT my week!.   :|

hehe.  I'm thinking that that may have been the cause of the vibration.  From the damage to the head of the bolt, it looks like it was on the car for a while.  I haven't heard anything since, and the noise was speed, not engine rpm dependent.

yep. Guys seemed cool and all, gone to basic training for the Air Force on Wed (pretty sure). I started the dispute w/paypal and added the problem to the post on nasioc, but we'll see what happens.  I have his name, email, and city where he lives (supposedly).  I guess if Paypal doesn't get me my money, I'll be taking a trip.   The thing that pisses me off more is that I was buying it for my brother who just started college, so figured he could use a laptop. Then I get hosed.

There is a full moon this evening, Harvest Moon i think...
Maybe that explains mysterious towing jobs, fines, a bolt with a washer in a tire and a serious hose job !!!
