Uh, here are some pics, of my newly ghettofabbed grille!
It kinda came out looking like the grille from the RB320 STi in the UK.

Looks great! You should try an sti scoop on that bad boy.

Don't have a lot of options there-The scoops on the legacy, outback, and Baja are integrated into the metal of the hood, there would be a lot of sawzalling to get stuff to work, which isn't really worth it on the stock steel hood.  Which is ludicrously heavy.

However--I agree--the car's big so a big scoop won't look too bad.  Someone makes carbon Fiber hoods for the BE/BH (2000-2004) Legacies that would fit.  They come with the sti-style scoop, and a vent between that an the front of the hood.  They look a lot like byron's hood in design, but made of cf and for the legacy.  That project is for 2009-2010.   :-D  First up is the wrx 4-pots I ordered from fred/capitaland.  Then it's rear rotors and pads.  Then Catback some time in early spring.

I used home depot Gutter mesh.   :-)  It comes in 6' rolls for like 5 or 6 bucks.

Cutting:  Patience, and either lots of dremel blades, grinding, and sanding backups, or a fresh hacksaw blade.
Mesh:  For me it was easy, I reccomend buying a bunch of small, short bolts, washers, and nuts.  I'll show you what I'm talking about at the meet, if you're patient.   My grille was easy, as it's held to the hood with 6 bolts, I just used those to anchor the mesh.

you just need to host the pics somewhere in the web (like facebook, myspace, etc.), and use the img /img tags in your posts, with the url of the picture between them.

Eric

Quote me now while I'm feeling good about it.  I've decided a WRX will be the vehicle that replaces the Jeep.  I can't see paying Evo prices or justifying purchasing a halfassed/beat to death example for the same asinine amount of money.  For an affordable, point to point, all-weather capable performance car, a wagon fits the bill.  A swapped wagon, even better.
