If i had the extra cash after my swap and tires, i would be right on that intake, alot of time and tech work went into it making sure it ran at its very best , also the construction looks VERY solid - if you have the extra cash you cant go wrong i think

i actually built a system like that for my obs... but i couldnt relocate my maf after the filter so it didnt quite work.... guess its not a prob for map sensor based systems.

all the people that have them say that rain is no problem, unless your spray a hose at it youll be fine, and some ppl RallyX with them..theres alot more stuff that just water going into it there... i guess it uses the regular K+N filter as well... found it on RS25.com, its called a gravelsport intake.. about 250$ im thinking about getting one...

Because the intake length is so short, might it be helping the top end but hurting the low end torque in exchange?  I've been pondering grabbing a Cobb cat-back exhaust and cold-air intake for my otherwise stock 2000 2.5RS...think this might be a better choice for the intake side of things?  I'm interested in improving my power, but not at the expense of drivability.  Who makes this, and where can i read up on it?  Also, does it come with the scoop baffle you must need to direct the air downwards?

lol, I made this thread a year ago hehe.... I have since gotten a Cobb CAI, I love it, no loss in the low end and you can notice a difference in the top end. Im also running a Stromung catback exhaust.

lol that's funny... resurecting an old thread like that.
THe intake is actually pretty long.  look at the pipe leaving the side and swooping around underneath....  they prolly did that to aid in intake velocity keeping good crisp throttle response.
