My names Rick, Ive been a member for a while through 2 of my wrx's and came back because of the feeling you get meeting other subaru owners is alot better then the honda guys ive met in between. I have a 2004 wrb wrx wagon- license plate says WRXDAD. I am 30 year old Correction Officer for the State of NY in the comstock NY area but live in Hudson Falls. Well I guess it's been a while since this thread was updated, but since we are new I suppose we should update...

Emily (Atta_girl) going to be 30 this month. I'm a nurse on a cardiac unit at one of the hospitals here in CNY.

Seth (Atta_boy) 27 and he's the mighty mechanic! He is also a good teacher and has gotten me quite comfortable tinkering around a car!

We met from an online dating site and the first thing he wanted to do was take me for a drive in his car ( the Mazda ) and well, now we just recently celebrated our one year anniversary of being married!!

Well here are a bunch of pictures about the stuff we do, any day off we are usually outside doing something.  Kayaking, hiking, biking, camping, rocket making, kiting, nitro RC cars, go carts, snowshoeing... Etc..

We would love to meet some people who love to do these things like we do, all our friends like to do is drink beer, shop and sit on the couch. Lol

Yep, we had our reception at Dinosaur BBQ!

So here are some pictures of us, crazy and not! Lol enjoy!

These are our kids, Meatball our cat he likes to play candy crush, and Cheerio our cockatiel!

Yes , I am welding. Lol

I love to paint, Seth and I also make survival bracelets , DIY everything and I enjoy h-ween, has to be one of my fav makeups so far

You guys will fit in fine here. There is a pretty large group of us that bike in the capital region. Mostly MTB but a couple of us road ride too. And Kavik and deadlydave are our resident Halloween bro-couple. Not sure how else to word it. They're both good at costuming.

I know a few folks here Kayak, I definitely fish and spend too much time on a bicycle, and even find time for a beer or two. If you ever find yourselves in the Lake George region, feel free to send me a message with any questions or if you guys want a third wheel.

When you work in IT, your inner child just don't die.     Kavik's are better...I just happen to have a lot of military surplus stuff.  At least I've managed to replace gaming as a hobby...with other even nerdier shit.

I did the model rockets thing for a couple years in Jr high...I would be on a government watch list had I continued.  Atta_Girl, What are you welding in that picture?

I was told to "practice" before he let me near the car, and he didn't tell me what to do so I obviously did this...

He laughed and let me weld the exhaust bracket on..

As for rockets, we don't do the little puny ones anymore. We launched Pro-series last spring F and G motors are the top of the line for civilians, unless your in a rocket club and then you can get clearance for bigger things. Seth now has weekends off so we might look into joining to see some huge ones go off. That F motor was QUITE loud.

Just size comparison ... Bigger is better!!

:2funny:  I'm flattered anyone remembered.  Yeah, I get a big kick out of going in to the office and not even being recognized

No idea what I'm going to do this year though, we're going with a bunch of friends to spend 3 days in Salem on Halloween and I haven't even thought up a costume, much less started on one  :|

There's a few threads on here that probably have some fun/embarassing pics if you're bored

I'm still disappointed I can't find any good pics from my Alice McGee's Mad Hatter and Kim as Alice.....that was an awesome year.  I learned how to sew a dress to make her costume  :2funny:   ANd had lots of fun with latex, prosthetics and liquids, and full head makeup work

Nice! If I dress up for hween at work I'll get fired. One year a coworker wore cat ears as a headband and did a little makeup on her nose etc, and she was told to go wipe it all off or go home. :( boo

I've seen an F Motor rocket launch before, and it was mighty impressive.  The last bad Idea I built, I used an old map tube(the kind that the pull-down maps at schools came in) as the body.  It weighed over 8 Lbs without the engines in.  I stuffed 7 E engines in it, though only 6 ignited.  More impressive than the fact that it launched was the catastrophic failure of the recovery system.  And, you know, the huge crash.
