SCCA Auto-x Placement.... ???Byron???
« on: March 22, 2008, 02:53:31 PM »
LOL..

So Since I didn't get tuned this weekend, I am going to take the turbo back off, and return everything back to stock and just DD the RS... Suspension is already back to stock...

Now the only things that are different from stock are: the lower compression STi block, and the wheels (which are a subaru 16inch rim, acceptable in stock class), stock Subaru Rotors with Axxis Ultimate Pads (acceptable in stock class), and the STi Catback (acceptable in Stock class)

Do you think I can get away with being in GS on a local level? I know Kevin runs GS, so if he knew I had an STi block he could and probably would nark me out, but I don't think he knows about it yet... And it actually hurts the car in NA since it is lower compression...

Looking for input on this cause if the legacy isn't running good, on a certain weekend, I may choose to GS this thing...

I put byrons' name on the topic cause he does registration.....

Eh, rulebook-wise, I'd say you be in either street mod or prospective (whatever letter)-mod class because of the block swap.  Performance-wise, eh- it's hard to argue with the rule-nazis... but you can't exactly say it's going to be any sort of advantage... not sure, man.   :crazy2:

Tom - if you end up running it, just mention you got a ticket while taking ACC pics for us.  That'll be points in your favor if you need a break.

At worst, you'd be allowed to run but not eligible for an event trophy.  But I can't say for sure how they'd handle it.

well.. the idea is to run a legacy in SM... but if for some reason that isn't alive, then i would run the RS.. but I may end up trading the RS in, so i'm not sure yet, I'm sure someone would let me, run their car (zeke  ) before i run a stock car...

Yeah the ticket SUX.. cause my car broke the CV axel right after that, so I cant even take the car in to have the cops check it out and sign off on it, saying the leak is fixed...  and Now I pretty much have to go to court and explain to the judge, that the car doesn't run @ all... But I cant take it off the road, since i have to have insurance on it, since I am still paying for it...

Man I am regretting fixing this car in the first place....
