Looks like the venue opens at 8 for setup, maybe a 1 hour drive from the rest stop. If we're gunning to get to the gates by 9 or so, we should be leaving the rest stop at 8am, and most of us should be there by 7:45am.

If someone that's been there before wants to lead, that would be awesome.

I prepaid for the test+tune at Seneca the same day, but even if I don't get a refund for that, this event will cost the same as the gas it would take to get to Seneca... So I'm more than likely going to Prospect. Probably won't bother to bring the r-comps.

Annnd I won't be meeting at exit 9 since that's southwards of me, might try to time it to catch you guys around exit 16 or so, although sounds like you'll be earlier than I want to. We'll see.

John (limitedwrx) and i are meeting up @ his 'rents in fort edward... i can meet ya somewhere in town... screw the northway.. its too far outa the way...

So... My friend with a Mustang wants in on this event something fierce. I may be coming to make an ass out of myself afterall.... So the convoy's meeting at exit 9 at 7:45am..?

This is going to be amazing and/or painful.

Now my friend has a XXL helmet which my FAT HEAD can fit in (but finds uncomfortable). I should look into my own helmet.. Anything else simple I need to know? (My friend's doing some severe research... hehe)

Sounds good, will call on Fri or something to firm up.

Laren - plan on bringing some food / water, sunscreen if the weather looks nice... (or a tarp if it's going to be sheety). Basically you prepare for standing around outside in a parking lot all day.

Yes, defintely be careful andy. It can be snell and DOT, just not only DOT.

There will be a logo at the base of the helmet on the back. If you were wearing it, it'd be the part that matches the base of your skull (on the outside).

Yes, they're different Snell designations (motorcycle / automotive respectively), either works for autocross.
