I am thinking about it.  I'd probably start on something cheap, easy, and common first.

That's the way to do it. I keep finding my natural inclination is to lean forward. If it keeps up I'll be shopping sporty.

Nah, I think you're going to be just fine on it.  You've got a level head.
Now, no lane splitting at 120mph.

Oh wait, the nighthawk doesn't go that fast anyway.

I hope I can keep my head level and my right hand stable. And she moves plenty fast for me right now. To be honest 40mph feels awesome. heh

Took the Nighthawk in to get inspected today. They told me I need a new rear tire.

Does anyone have experience with any of the other courses offered by the MSF? I'm considering the BRC2 or the IRC course to continue developing academic theory to apply on the road. I'd just rather not invest money in repeating the drills executed during the BRC1.

I've sat in on the IRC and BRC2, to watch the drills they do.  It's not bad practice, put it that way.  Less academic and more physical riding, getting comfortable maneuvering the motorcycle.  I'd say it's worth it from what I saw.  There were a couple guys in Goldwings who were all fussy that they were going to scrape their pipes and drop the bike doing a slalom and swerve, but the instructor took one of their bikes out on the course, showed them how to do it and it was actually pretty incredible to see.  Definitely good skills training to keep people sharp.  I can definitely see how daily habits can make people get sloppy.

I karmically owed the shop for hooking me up last year on my car. I do need tires for my WRX, so I'll keep that in mind.

And the mounting was like $40. Sheeeeesh. Next season I'll need a new front tire as well.

Got my bike started last night. I plan to take it for a spin tomorrow and see how it feels. Hopefully there's no major issues.

With the rain I didn't take it out until last night. Runs great, rides smooth. Everything works except for the turn signal indicator on the dash and the stock horn. But I wanted to upgrade to hellas anyway. Oh, and my handlebars are kinda bent to shit. But That's another cheap fix.

Is there a really small gas tank in that picture or is it just not installed?
