Matte looks good until it gets all scuffed up like matte things do.

Gloss is a lot easier to keep clean, and you can slap stickers on it that actually stick.  my vote's gloss.

Totally forgot about this thread.   Well, time to update the info on my recent acquisition:

2007 Ninja 250r is gone.  Say hello to my 1997 'Zuki TL1000S.
26k miles,  custom painted some dark aquamarine green (originally red), with a very light gold color on the wheels.
Yoshi RS3 exhaust, K&N Air Filter, some sort of charging system modification to the Rectifier...
...and a thousand ghetto mods causing it to run like shit, leak oil and otherwise feel like a poorly cared-for hack job.
Mechanically, she's fundamentally sound.  That's about it though.  My anal retentive nature went haywire once I started peering over what's "wrong" on it in my eyes.

Yes, she's already being taken apart.  SO much stuff to fix.  The list is over two pages long, starting with asinine things like "Seat isn't bolted to chassis - bolts are missing."  I bought her for cheap, so I'm willing to fix it.  It doesn't mean that I've given up finding the other previous owners and proceeding to torture them with methods from the Spanish Inquisition.   At least the bike runs.
Came with a rare, out-of-production Targa V lower fairing for the "Fully Faired" look, a rear swingarm stand, the solo seat cowl and a factory passenger seat, plus a complete printed Owner's Manual and Suzuki Factory Service Manual, neatly bound in tidy looking volumes.
Already ordered a shitload of little items to get started from problems like the clutch pushrod seal leaking, to the missing airbox bolts, missing fuel tank side supports, front fork seals and so forth.
Going to take a while to get things right, but when she's ready, she'll be wonderful.

I still need that flasher relay.  As for the Muzzy...meh.  I'll wait a bit.  Maybe those Carbon Delkovics instead.

Put in 90 miles yesterday.  Rode to Eagle Bridge, out past Easton, Cambridge, etc.

might as well update.  nothing major, put the stock bars back on but painted them black and drilled holes in them to route all the wires inside.  so much more comfortable now.  that seat pushed me up WAY to high so it was really awkward riding with the drag bars.

Looks so much better with those bars instead of the tall drag bars. Looking good.

Im thinking something to do with the neutral switch and something grounded that shouldn't be...

I guess I should post up some pics of my bike, finally. It's an 09 Triumph Daytona. Pretty much stock, just some sliders, flush mounts, and slip on. I have even tuned it with a form of open source tuning! Having withdrawal from it right now, can't wait for next season!

After discovering and fixing a leaky rear valvestem and a nearly-completely-backed-out bolt retaining my rear damper, I decided to go over her a bit more thoroughly and play "Let's torque ALL the fasteners!"  Then I discovered the rear exhaust gasket leaks at startup, but is blocked by frame and can't be easily changed.  Joy.
Whatever.  She rode nicely.

Thought I'd dig this up with a pretty cool video of a MotoX Rhythm section. I imagine the Peck's could comment on this.

That would be soooo much fun.

If only I could do that without dying.  The multiple step-off's would be the tricky part, I think.

If I remember correctly we had a couple of guys that liked Enduro riding. This is a long video with multiple ads but its totally worth it. I've been in the dark with regards to offroad motorcycles but I was quite impressed by all of this.

Posted elsewhere but this is My new enduro that sat in my house since I bought it in the winter time. Love the change over to on/off road. Ride to and from trails, jumping curbs/sidewalks, and shortcuts galore.

That's a beauty man!  Been looking into Super Motos lately so it seems we're on a similar wavelength.
