just a question.  What is everyone's thoughts on electric buffers?  I was thinking of investing in one but I wanted the opinion of the scuby crew.

I own a Porter Cable 7424 dual action buffer that I picked up from tdimpreza. It is very easy to use. I use it with the Adams line of products, which can also be purchased from Gabe.I use the products with a Lake Country Foam pad. Orange for light swirl removal, Yellow for tough swirls, white for finishing. If you are interested I would be willing to show you everything so you can get a good idea of everything.

if your going to go with a buffer machine and are new to detailing and new to the machine - a Porter Cable 7424 is prime ! but the key is that it is a DUAL ACTION ORBITAL buffer - this makes it VERY hard for someone to mess up the paint as the pad is always moving around on its own.

Personally the 7424 with some Lake Country pads - is a killer combo and used widely.  Pm me if you want more details or just some info- The line up of products that Keith and I talked about and ultimately set him up with will do wonders and make the job alot easier than some other products (there are days i wont even touch certain line ups of products if the temp is a bit off or the humidity is a little high)- like keith said if your interested just shoot me a pm and ill hook you up with some deals to get you going and allow you to try a few things without breaking the bank getting started

Heres an old thread featuring a detail of Keifers car:

from the pics a good note is to look at the before of the hood while the front is being taped up vs the after -

Hey I have a few questions for you...

What do you recommend for a SEALANT. For people that do not know what this is..  { It enlightens, Richens, Deep Color}

I love the Quality of the synthetic polymers / waxes in the No. 26 brand. The Key is to use it AFTER the car has already been WAXED.

Due to the properties of the No 26.

I have been thinking of adding a Sealant 2.0

   What is your take

Tdimpreza...??

ill be honest i do not have too much experience with Megs stuff -

my favorite finish for me is:

p21s HD cleanse- Pre-Wax

p21s carnauba wax
http://www.autopia-carcare.com/p21-127.html

Menzerna FMJ - Sealant
http://www.detailersdomain.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=15

Some others that I like are:
Klasse High Gloss Sealant
Jet Seal 109

Ive been referred to Wolfgang deep gloss but have not had a chance myself to try it out

Im sure there are sealants that WORK and look good that are cheaper or even easier to find locally (i know i had to order some of those because you cannot buy them in a retail location) but those are the product i have experience with and can personally suggest trying.
