dent in hood
« on: March 28, 2004, 11:01:57 PM »
damm... yeah so some of my fraternity bro's were drunk the other night and sat on the hood. wonderful dent in there now so i just need to know where i should take it. I honestly think that paintless dent removal might work however i'm just not sure. there are two 2 inch long dents right on the edge of the hood where it comes down off the hoodscoop. It's right on that angle so it would be hard to get at with a suction gun thingy.

any help is greatly appreciated.

i am saing this with experaince so its true

my friend jim on central ave pulled and dent i had out of my front right fender and it was perfect

he painted it as well

i would see what he says maybe i can jsut get u a cheap hood instead

or maybe he would use bondo and rematch the lines or whatever

talk to him---- facing sch'dy on central ave. and at dragon buffet
drive aoubt 1-2 mins and there is a shop on left hand side it should have lots of cars in front

kinda looks liek ti run down but he is good at body and paint work

i would suggest leaving the car for 3 days like i did and have him do a good job

well if he needs to paint it u will want the car there so he can match line and everything make it look right

im me if u need more info

damn that sucks.  hopefully it can be pulled without repainting. if you have to paint match you'd prob be better of finding another hood and selling yours to make up some of the difference

got a quote from dent wizard and from a body shop near me.
dent wizard= 125-150
Autobody= 550

do you think that's good? should i go w/ paintless dent removal? or should i take the 150 from my friend and save for a vented hood?

looking directly at the car it's on the drivers side of the hood. Follow the crease from the Hood scoop down the hood where it meets the lights about halfway down there are two indentations on either side of that crease. it wouldn't be so bad but i can see it when i'm driving so it pisses me off
