Does haveing a mbc bypass the ecu when it comes to controlling the boost?
'02 WRX - Deer killer...  Cobb Accessport reflash, vf-34, sti pinks, 255lph fuel pump, up-pipe, down-pipe, cat-back, short throw shifter n a bunch of other stuff...

Yes. you take the lines off the stock boost controller and plug em into your unit. Just make sure you leave the stock soleniod electrically connected, otherwise you  get a CEL.
This way, the ECU *thinks* its controlling boost, even though you are.

yea its basically a check valve where u adjust the spring with the adjuster, and that is how the boost is controlled :)

i thought so... my rex came with one of them and piggyback that raised boost (among other things) so i guess the mbc overrode the piggyback  :roll:
