Bone Heads and Douchebags

I think we should start a new section of the spotted thread(or something else) and call it boneheads and douchebags.  The reasoning behind this, is because every morning or afternoon when i go to/leave work, i always see some dumb sh*t goin down by people who cant drive, or people who are so impatient that they have to get a few more cars ahead so they have to cut off a bunch of people (or some horsesh*t like that).  i think this should be a place to rant and rave to get the anger out, and also to make fun of the people who are douches(most will prolly be ricer's)


this is a lot of text, but i need to rant bc of this a-hole this morning

i am starting this because i have an epic tale of fail from my morning commute today.  So i was getting off the northway at exit 4 southbound, and like usual i was runnin a little late so it was nearing about 8.  this usually means that the queue for the exit ramp will start to back up. so the exit 4 ramp is startin to get backed up behind me and i know what is coming as soon as i see some head lights pop out onto the left hand shoulder and come flying down the left lane.  im thinkin that this person is either getting on the northway or he is going to cut over somewhere.

The traffic ahead of me starts to move and i go, but the person behind me is one of those slow roller people who dont keep up so there is literally like 15 car lengths behind me.  we get to the part of the ramp that splits between the northway on ramp and exit ramp and all of a sudden this red 350z with some wack ass bumper and ugly ass dual exhausts cuts the person in front of me off from the painted triangle where the lanes split. so the person in front slams on their breaks and so i do (swerving to miss them too).  And in my head i was like WHAT THE F%$&#@@*&%^@#*%&*!@#^&&CK. 

now that i am already in the shoulder(bc i swerved) i pull up next to this douchebag and stare at him.  he stares back like i just cut him off.  we roll down our windows and i say "what the fuck are you doing dude?!?!, i just had to swerve bc you cut off the person in front of me" 

he says "well..you should have been paying attetion..."

(i realize now that i shouldve said that i was paying attention, and that was the reason why i missed the person in front of me, but w/e)

i said "why did you cut off that person, there was like 20 car lengths behind me?"

he said "what are you gonna do about it? fight me?", then he says "let me give you some adivce, if you are going to pull up next to someone, you should be prepared to do something about it..."

at that point the light turned green and he went and then prceeded to be in the right turn lane down the road and then cut off someone else to turn left......

this guy was definitely a douchebag, and if i ever see him again i hopefully wont have the urge to run his ass off the road.

if that werent bad enough when i was getting on the northway at exit 6 right before this i merged over and then some lady that was behing me on the on ramp tried to pass me to get one car ahead.  keeping in mind that there are highway barriers in the lane bc they are doing construction, and i had to swerve bc she wouldve either hit the barrier or me or both.  also, there was nobody else behind me or in the oncoming lane.....

Which is the #1 reason you never want to confront someone in this type of situation.  If they are driving like a DB, then there is a high probability that they are going to act like a DB thereafter.  The State has some pretty slick ways to charge both drivers with felonies if the confrontation escalates into a roadside fight.  Beyond that, lets not forget the chance of getting shot by one of the many crazy bastards out there.

Instead of getting pissed of these days I just drive the speed limit, this way I can get back at all the assholes legally   I get tailgated A LOT.

Yeah - typically when I see this kind of thing I call the cops (from my handless cell phone device) and report them as driving erratically and that I saw them just cut someone off a couple of car lengths ahead of me (even if it was me they cut off).

In my experience, troopers realize that if someone calls, it probably was either really bad or crying wolf, but typically respond. I had a guy in a conversion van do this to me and one he started yelling "I'll kill you" out his window, I called the cops and reported him. They were there by the next exit and had him picked up.

Wow.  That is completely asinine.  Then again, it's to be expected of degenerate scumbags.  If they drive with a chip on their shoulder, chances are they're going to act the same way.  No worries - karma will catch up with them eventually.  Phong's right - I'm sick of it too, so now I just cruise around at the speed limit, waiting for them to be the idiot that hits me in the back.  At least that way I know they're screwed and can't do anything about it.

This is where i differ from you.  I've actually gotten out of my vehicle to "talk" to the reckless driver.  I dont condone my actions as i could've been shot.....but generally people get really nervous when your approaching their vehicle on foot at a stop light wielding a lug wrench and no intentions of ending the conversation politely.

I spend about 80% of my cummute on the 87 (northway) and you have to build a thick skin to keep your sanity.
I have seen such douchebaggery as people actually speed up to try to "block" me out when I have to merge into "their" lane.
And then curse me out when they weren't fast enough.

Lucky for me, I drive a truck with dark tinted glass so they are really only yelling at their own reflection in my windows.

You guys should check out LA sometime.  Thank god I don't have to commute on a major freeway out here, I'd have killed myself. Had to drive up to USC during rush hour on Monday and it was super shitty. 

A few months ago a big rig was making a left hand turn or a u-turn from the right hand lane and I was in the left most lane (of 3 going north...) and I had to SLAM the brakes to not hit him.  Apparently when you're a big rig you think you can change 3 lanes without a blinker in hopes of turning where you're not allowed to. Scared the crap out of me.

when i was younger i used to be kind of reckless, tailgating and what not.  over the years i have settled down and learned to let it go.  every once and a while i will be set off by something as severe as this and will revert to tailgating and garbage like that.  it is definitely better to live and let live...this usually just means laying on the horn and giving the person the 1 finger salute.

Ah problem found:  Douchebag is just redundant when describing a typical 350z driver.  I'd say calling the police is the best thing for the future. Another thing I do is use my cell to snap pictures of asshole plates once at a light or deadlocked in traffic.  Commercial drivers are by far the worst.  Crotch rocketeers are a close second, simply because a flick of the wrist could kill them, so the temptation is there.

I'm easily irritated so I can't really talk.  I'm also constantly reminded to be a model citizen, because of the unysoc, sli, and scca stickers on my ride, and I don't want my behavior to show them in a bad light.  So, i stew, quietly, then go home and play some counterstrike. 

I know or have met pretty much all you guys, but nobody's seen me truly angry.

i dont want to sound like a bitch but during my 2 year vacation (college) i learned the hard way that getting mad and blowing these people the finger or saying somthing is the wrong way. i was getting of 5s one day (bignick knows that one all to well ) and some d-bag cuts off something like 3 lanes of traffic so i beep and blow him the middle fing... this was a bad idea on my part. Then in his F350 superduty cuts off 3 lanes again and when im getting my exit he stops on the white lines and gets out of his truck and throws up the lets go arms, to describe this dude i could see his belly and neck vein over his dash. so i cruse past him ( i had my friend gordy with me this kid is 4 foot nothing 60lbs wet wearing boots maybe) so this twat gets back into his truck and at every stop sign or time i slow down he jumps out of his truck and trys to run up to my car. so finally he gets me at a red light of a big intersection and at this point i say sorry to gordy for what im about to do let him get to about my trunk and drop the hammer on the ol leggy, this asshole has now scared the piss out of me AND make me look like an asshole driver for blowing a red light and cutting off a ton of people. Again i dont want to sound like a bitch but like everyone said you have no clue who your dealing with here my advice next time this happens be happy your car (that is way better then every kinda car out there) is ok and throw the thumbs up with a smile. one more lession dont EVVVVVEEER mess with homies they will shoot your friend (lol big nick knows about that one as well) and in the grand scheme of things stay out of utica.

i was a pizza delivery boy back in the day and some d-bag cuts me off then slams on his brakes to stop for red light and i curbed a wheel to avoid a fender bender.  so naturally being the bright guy i am i lay on the horn and he waves his finger out the car.  so i'm flipp'n pissed at this point so i get out and go right for his drivers window. he is on his little hand crank bringing it up as fast as he can.  i saw that and just said f it and opened his door, which he never locked (dumbass).  needless to say i didnt hit him or anything but i scared the shit outta him and his fugly ass girl.  the next day i had a trooper at my house and nothing came of it but im still lucky... im alot more calm now.  if someone is driving like a d-bag i just smile and turn the radio up

quick story about the mouth breathers that live in utica.  so one day i had to go to wally world to get a magazine for a class.  as i am walking out there is a guy in a handicap spot starting to back out (it was one of those spots perpendicular to the building).  as soon as i got half way through the crosswalk he cuts his wheel hard and starts backin up towards me, i then have to side step is car quick before he hits me.  i proceed to say "woah, watch it retard"  and kept on walking to my car.  as i am about to get in my car this mofo parks his car behind me and says "what did you say?!?!?. you better watch yourself before you start callin people retards"  i said "you almost effin hit me, i shouldnt have move out of the way because you cant drive"  then he said something else and peeled out.this is one of the many typical people that live in utica for example: sh*t stained 5 teeth, dirty a$$ clothes and his beat to hell blazer with more rust than paint.  

to sum it up, you never know what kind of JO (jerk off) you are going to come into contact with.  even if it is plainly clear that you are in the right and they are in the wrong, you could still end up with someone who thinks that they have done no wrong

there are three kinds of people in utica.

1.  People who dont care.  The people who abuse the welfare system, have no respect for any living thing {even their own kids}, no jobs, on drugs, always complain about how crappy the town is > 70% of the population

2.  Rich Snobs. Due to the lack of good jobs,  doctors, dentists, those that have family money from when the town was blooming, act like they are above everything. > 20% of the population

3.  Those of us who got one of the emerging jobs on the Base, relized there is a low cost of living,  lots to do, so they move out here.... and hate it.. not because of the area. There is lots to do, music, sports, outdoor stuff, bars/clubs, car stuff, casino... but hate it because of the people. <10% of the population.


Now I know this applies everywhere, but when I lived in Albany, I met numerous "Very well off" people who were cool, down to earth, always helping others..... and numbers "not well off" who were struggling to make ends meet, make a better life, and not blaming it on the town, drugs, always happy people...    Utica people are one extreme or the other.

So yea, thats my rant on Utica... Deadly? im surprised you havent given your input on utica yet

Back at my days at the valley...used to plow my own parking spot in the winter, drive over the grass into the first parking lot in order to steal a parking spot(parking was fucking anarchy there)..and well im sure andy has some stories relating to said truck.

I had a douche bag that deserved some hella's last week. I was coming off 87N getting onto 9R. There was no one infront of and a line of cars waiting for the light to make the left onto 9. As I am passing this line of cars one puts its right directional on and pulls out right in front of me. I lay on mt weak ass horn swerve around them and make it back into my lane with out hitting anyone. TheDB continued into my lane and across Rt3 9 behind me. I get caught at another stop light and DB had room to pull up in the lane next to but proceeded to stop for the light about 2 car lengths behind me. I think they were afraid of me getting out and yelling or beating their a$$, which I would not have done. The DB had plenty of times they could have pulled up next to me in traffic but always remained behind me. If it had been last year and I was still driving my Cheeroke I would have plowed into the DBs passenger side becuase I wanted to get rid of the thing. The Saabaru has a place in my heart and I couldnt do that to it.

I just found out today that a cousin of mine was killed in a motorcycle accident in the Utica area Tuesday.
