They wouldn't even let me pick the check up they're mailing it!!! :?  As for the uppipe, i just heat wrapped my new turboXs catless and installed it i'm waiting for my studs and gaskets to get here so i can put it all back together. I'm debating on what to spend the $300 on

you could buy a brick wrap a note on it ... and Throw it thru the window..

ahhaha Nah in all seriousness .. I think you should spend some time driving thru their parking lot and telling potential customers about the place while looking at a car..  Go on sunday's too see if the smart ones are their..

I will never set foot on that establishment again after hearing this..

Great to find you found the up pipe issue.. Nice job man.. Now you got a news turbo

Hopefully the car is running great now...

going to the papers isn't a bad idea...would get the word out to alot more locals than you would by shit talking them online, where you're either  going to have it read by someone across the country who doesn't care, or by the people here who already know the avoid the place :-D

That's not a bad idea.  Go to poke around and walk up to potential customers before the salesmen get there.

I reccomend brakes.  My #1 complaint about all my subarus was that they've never had enough stopping force.

well so far the up pipe a freshly cleaned turbo are my list of power mods. as for the replacing what was stolen thing there was 650+ worth of stuff stolen and they only gave me 300. The stolen sub was one of a set so i don't really need to buy another i put the remaining one in the car. My wife has a radar detector she never uses so i'm good on that and i did buy a new socket set. Since i bought the car i put in a boost gauge so i can monitor, i put in an Apexi turbo timer and some good tires Brigestone GO19's and have goten the interior back into a suitable condition because the previouse owner was a jerk off and thought he knew what he was doing (he very clearly did not).

i would say uppipe and cleaned turbo is a good place to start...maybe a catback? for that price range you can find a really nice used one or maybe even a brand new one depending on what your looking for.

I purchased a car from Goldstien in July (09 Impreza 2.5i Premium), and wasn't thrilled with ANY portion of my buying experience and when I got my customer survey form from Subaru I filled it out honestly and accordingly.  Now a little background of the delivery day.  My wife and I show up to pick the car up and its pouring so bad that we had to wait in our car for about 5 minutes so the rain would slow a little.  Our new car is outside being poured on, Not a big deal but I would have really liked to look it over good with it being dry to look for imperfections or scratches etc. With all of the financing taken care of we are finally ready to go over our new car and see the features and all other functions of this new vehicle.  Our salesman brings us over to a new Forester that is in the showroom and points out the traction control button and says that we have the same one in our car, and that if the snow is deep and we need the wheels to spin free to turn off the traction control. No shit! He then hands me the keys and tells us to have a good night and enjoy our car.  He didn't even walk out to the car with us, bring it inside the shop for us to go over it, NOTHING! WTF!

A few nights later as I'm out to dinner I get a phone call from the salesman asking me if I had the factory CD player for my truck, and asked a few other questions about my trade-in and then at the last minute says "oh BTW how do you like the new car".  Totally could care less about my purchase and just wanted to know about my trade for another person he had that was interested in it.  That pissed me off.

Yesterday I received a voice mail from my salesman Bill regarding the Subaru Customer survey. He wanted to know why I felt that way and wanted me to give him a call back.  I call him back and explained to him about why I wasn't happy with my goldstien experience.  The salesman had the nerve to tell me seven yes 7 times that he wished I never bought the car from their dealership, I was FLOORED!  Could not believe the guy would say that in today's economy.  He also asked me several times why I even bought the car, at this point I was furious and I explained to him that I've bought 6 brand new cars in the last 9 years and have never had such a bad experience at a dealership.

I ended up calling and talking to the Sales manager about an hour after talking with the salesman and I explained everything to him.  He told me that this is not how they want the dealership to be portrayed blah blah blah...and that he was very sorry and offered a free oil change and some services after I told him that I wasn't looking for anything for free.  I'm going to wait a few days and see what happens, then decide if I'm going to call SOA or not.  Not really sure what I'm looking for them to do, I don't think anything really.  Its just bullshit that in today's economy you would think that a car dealership would be on their game and at the least treat a customer decently with anticipation of another purchase/sale down the road.  / RANT

Do it!

I would expect that kind of customer service at Walmart, but at a car dealership? People that unprofessional and inconsiderate do not deserve such a job.  I think it definitely warrants a call to SOA.

When I sold cars,  I called my customers the next day and asked them how the car was running, Is their anything I could do for them, How was their experience, and bla bla bla.. Just goes to show you it really comes down to the salseperson and taking care of your customer. The salesmen represents the WHOLE company. I am sorry you had such a bad experience buying your new car. Goldstein blows ass  I learned that the hard way.

In that case I'd ask for as many Subaru bucks as I could get.  Then I'd either use that on stuff I want or sell them on a Subaru forum.

I work for Lowe's and the yesterday I followed up on a $300 purchase.  While everything worked out fine and there was no need for me to do so, I like to treat people the same way I would like to be treated and retain customers.  If salesman at Goldstein can't do the same when selling things over 50 times more expensive, that makes them look like pretty selfish pricks.

I was under the impression that the dealers do have to answer to SOA, isn't that the point of the surveys? And aren't the dealers somehow rated by the parent companies?

I'd go ahead and send your concerns to SOA, let them decide if there's anything they'll do about it.  This dealership is an embarassment to the company.  Every place you see them mentioned online is about bad reviews and horror stories  (and I'm a bit irked that you almost never see a Subaru out front when you drive by, it's all their traded in crap they're pushing instead)

Yes, they are forced to answer...with nice, cheap words.  The franchise is a binding agreement that SOA can't and won't just pull.  It's not like a McDonald's franchise.  Goldstein has been screwing people for a long, long time.  If complaints generated a forceful response, they would've stopped long ago.
