Gotta love surplus ammo guns, and .30 bullets are cheap in bulk. That's why I'm happy my new rifle shoots both .308 and 7.62x51.

Next one will be an AR, so surplus ammo there.

Quote me now while I'm feeling good about it.  I've decided a WRX will be the vehicle that replaces the Jeep.  I can't see paying Evo prices or justifying purchasing a halfassed/beat to death example for the same asinine amount of money.  For an affordable, point to point, all-weather capable performance car, a wagon fits the bill.  A swapped wagon, even better.

Can't believe I never posted this here...

1909 Argentine Mauser Action (m98), rebarreled to .308. Dad and his family built the gun for me quite a few years ago and finally decided to give it to me. He bought the barrel as a rifled tube, turned it to profile, threaded and chambered it. Cut the bolt arm off, turned and shaped a new one on the lathe and bandsaw, the knurled the integrated knob and welded it on. This was his 5th custom Mauser based rifle and his show piece. Step mom carved the stock out of a blank and they tipped it with maple and rosewood. For anyone that knows Mausers, you'll see the safety is missing. It isn't anymore.

I'll be shooting this some this summer. Rifle will shoot 1/2MOA with factory ammo and my dad shooting it (former semi-pro exhibition shooter, military sharpshooter). I was up around 1MOA with it and my shotgun finger. I've been working on shooting right handed (non dominant side) free hand and from a bench and am significantly more accurate with rifles on that side. So, speed shooting on the left, target shooting on the right.

Can't wait to upgrade the scope and put a few dozen more rounds through it.

Thanks, and right? She can shoot, too. Placed in national archery tournaments 2 out of the three years she made it there.

AR-15's and pistols if my brother goes with me. We have paper/cardboard targets and a few metal targets.

I have a spot up in Partridge Run that's suitable for AR15s and pistols.

Also has a nice field for pidgeon shooting, if that's your thing.

I picked up a new pse brute this fall.  I've always shot pse.  Use to be really into it when i was younger but haven't done much in the past 10 years.  This year i'm getting back into it and got my girlfriend into it as well.  Shot a 242 out of 270 sunday in the 3d shoot so i was pretty pleased with that, not bad for being out fo the game so long

I have 2 recurves lying around; one is a custom-made bow, the other an old Wing archery bow from, I believe, the early 70's.
