so i just ordered an 04 sti gauge cluster for my 04 wrx. anybody have any experience with this upgrade that could possibly help with the install so i dont make any mistakes?

screaminfast put a JDM ver 7 in his '02. It's the same pretty much except for the blackout.

sounds like its easier than the swap into 02.
found on nasioc. says its just about plug n play. though you do need to mod for temp to work. Unfortunately, the links I found that would walk through getting the temp to work, no longer work.

yea im subscribed to a thread on nasioc that goes thru the installs of them and the 04 sti into the 04 wrx is just plug and play except for the external temp needs some work to get functioning.

anybody think something like this would be too difficult? the plug and play part of just swapping clusters im sure i could do but i would love some assistance with this part if anyone is comfortable with electrical shit

definitely will. i just sent the payment yesterday so im hoping ill get the cluster by the end of next week. so hopefully it will be done within the next 2 weeks

i got the cluster today and just installed it. OMG i love it. now i just gotta get the external temp sensor working. the illuminator doesnt adjust either but its set to the highest setting which is what i always keep it at anyways so that doesnt bother me

P.S. If you get the temperature sensor installed...take pictures while you install it and post them up here.

that steering wheel is a little OD for my taste but just from those 2 pics it looks like a pretty sweet setup all around
