Once upon a time, years ago I did a complete motor pull and swap in the RSAS when I used to be a club member.  I'm sure the rules have changed a lot since then, but the gist used to be  "If you can't finish it durning our working hours, then don't bother trying".   Unless they give you specific permission to store the car and come back the next day to finish the job.  It's a damn good shop and I spent a lot of hours there years back.

If you guys get me the part number of that Aamco Coats tire balancer, I can give you the specs and whatever replacement parts you need.  Mark Teal is the salesman from Napa who sold it to the RSAS.  We both do the same job, except mine's out in the East Greenbush area.  If you ever need anything for the shop or to support the equipment, drop a line.

We just replaced that balancer with a new one... unless you are talking about the new one we just got like 3 weeks ago... both are coats. Know anyone who would be interested in our old coats balancer?

hatchback corolla.  I feel bad, I never got her name or looked at the car.

Do you mean the blue corolla coupe? That's Marnie's car... It was parked behind the shop the whole time you were there. I can't think of any hatches around.

Yea, that was it.  Is she gonna be there thursday?  She said she was selling it.  It sounds like a reasonable deal, even if i had to store it somewhere for a couple years.

Don't know anyone offhand, but i can ask around and see who may be in need.   Yes, I was referring to the fresh balancer you guys recently purchased.  Bill Baxter was the Coats tool rep who was contacted.  Saw him Tuesday morning.  He said it's a damn good unit you guys purchased ;)  He had no idea RPI had a shop that serious about work.  I clued him in a little as to the stuff I"ve seen there over the years.

If I had to guess I'll be down there around 7. Maybe a little earlier.

I'll try like heck to get around there if possible. I have class so it may cause some issues.  :-(

With me at the helm it will probably take a while. I'm a little mechanically challenged when it comes to things like that

Quote me now while I'm feeling good about it.  I've decided a WRX will be the vehicle that replaces the Jeep.  I can't see paying Evo prices or justifying purchasing a halfassed/beat to death example for the same asinine amount of money.  For an affordable, point to point, all-weather capable performance car, a wagon fits the bill.  A swapped wagon, even better.

Uh, Where can I get valve stems? Just realized I don't have any and the tire shop usually provides them.

Napa maybe?  I think you could probably just buy 4 from a shop too.

anybody reputable has valvestems, even Advance.  They're usually with all the other tire stuff - plugs, gauges, etc.

We have a box of valve stems at the shop... standard black ones that are like 1.5" long.

I imagine thats all I need but I'll go grab some at Advance (its right near where I work) so you guys can use those for someone who doesn't have the luxury.

Nice to meet everyone tonight. I'm sorry I don't remember everyone I met, but it was cool anyway.

Yeah it was nice meeting and seeing you all yesterday.  Good times.  Of course with any stage 2 install involving me, there are leaks!  So i gotta head back today to try to sort them out.

BTW if any of you guys find a blue jumpdrive in the shop...its mine!   :-)

The blue leg with the FMIC is mine :) I was there giving George (korpsepatrol) a hand with the stage 2 install. He has a nice set of parts. A perrin TMIC, Invidia catless up pipe, Invidia HFC downpipe, Perrin mid and y pipe, and AVO mufflers. Anyways i took a bunch of pics of the install and put a lil video together so here it is. To anyone not in the vid that helped out thanks!
