You guys need to watch the meet section closer. After I got my fluid I went to the RSAS RPI shop and did my fluids in their garage. RubbleDTD was cool enough to help out both me and Korpspatrol who was going Swaybars.

I managed to get a lot of work done there over last weekend:
Full catless exhaust install (Thanks Rubble for the help man!)
Engine/Trans/Diff fluid change (my diff needed it so bad..)
Fuel pump install

A bunch of stuff I'd been waiting a while to do. RSAS is the place to be. So we need more people to go to RPI, thanks!

Disregard - found it on a couple other sites. T-70 torx socket head. Not easy to find I gather but the Autozone near my work has one.

finally did mine in the wagon today.  I only needed a 21 mm wrench for the drain plug.  Unfortunately my magnetic drain plug had a single gear tooth stuck to it... I better start looking.

Yeah there was lots of metallic sludge.  One tooth!  I gotta start researching the cheapest way to swap a 6sp in.

i've often wondered if it'd work out to be cheaper in the long run to buy a totalled sti and part it out after the tranny swap....but that's alot of cash up front for a slow and tedious payout

prolly would be cheaper that way daryl but yes...you would need the money up front and available and then take the time to strip it down and sell all the good parts and chances are very good that you will have many parts left over that no one wants/needs and then you have to dispose of them or have them take up your space :-P

You know...a friend of mine is selling his PPG 5 speed that I'm not sure Spenk has jumped on!

I'd like to get 3 more members + me to go in on a "group buy" of this stuff with Fred again. I'm in no hurry but if the interest is there, let's do it. We can use my garage in Nisky. I'm about 10 miles +/- from Capitaland Motors.
LMK

Steve

Am I too late to get in on this buy? The 6 speed has two drains and I only opened the one on the front. I thought is was odd that only 2-3 quarts came out. :uglystupid2:. Anyway rather play it safe and flush it properly. LMK
Thanks

Just a friendly jab.. He's in no rush at this point. I'm trying to find a video that I had of it. He had Borla Hush exhaust and all you can hear comin up the road in the distance is the wine of that gearbox and a distant rumble.  :smitten:

I need to pick some of this up, I have the mix of 2 Qts Redline LW shockproof and 1.7 of Amsoil severe gear in now... its been about 5k miles and I already feel it getting harder to shift.
