Extra S gear fluid
« on: July 04, 2009, 10:41:38 PM »
So I've decided I will order a 5 gallon container of this stuff this week. I'll talk to Fred and get it going Monday.  If anyone wants in, let me know. If not, down the road it will still be available to any members until I run out at whatever cost I get it per/qt.
I can't see paying the price at TiC and other vendors that sell it by the qt. marked up 200 - 300 %.

SOLD - as of 07/17/09
$30/gallon (4 qts) or $8/quart

My buddy and I found that our 2006 and 2008 WRX's took 3.5 qts in the tranny and .8 qt in the differential.

Fred sold me his left overs in 2 1 gallon windshield wash fluid bottles.  If you have a couple laying around it's an easy way to get rid of it.

You don't have a limited slip diff - your diff takes only the extra s.

your car has a rear LSD, the LSD oil you see on subarugenuine is for STI models and has an extra additive in it.
the extra S is ok for all WRX's and even ok in the sti's. the LSD oil has a little extra protection in it.
