it's right across the street from Colonie Center
I used to eat there alot (notice the gut)
plan on having smaller portions, because I severly doubt your stomach will be loving you when we cruise
it's a nice place to sit down and eat. they have nice little rooms off of a big hallway and stuff. Do y'all want me to call and make reservations (I will give them the number of people tomorrow?!?!) as of now...what is it...14 are going?

to get to Boca De Pepo's just take the exit 4 (the one we take for Olive Garden. Go (south) in the direction of Olive Garden. Keep on going until you reach the intersection where you will see a Mobil and CVS on the right and Hoffman's HSBC on the left. Continue through that light for ROUGHLY 1/3rd of a mile. You will see a red sign on the right, about 6 feet high or so for Boca's. it's a 'can't miss'

dude, screw you....if it wasn't for me, this club wouldn't even have been an idea...I'm not trying to be big headed, but when Nick, and other people put "UNYSOC #1" or whatever on there, why am I not allowed to? May I remind you that I am in grad school at RPI, taking 15 credits per semester so I can get my masters in 1 year, not to mention being the president of the sports car club there. And on top of that finishing my cisco certifications. Where would you like me to put UNYSOC time? Before my school work? Before time with my fiancee? I'm doing as much as I can for the club. You guys have completely forgotten Gabe, who  I consider to be the other "UNYSOC Founder" because we organized the first meet last year in this area. Just because everyone else is putting "effort" in by making a 5 minute webpage, or hosting something doesn't mean that I am doing nothing.

There are many things that people are saying on here that is not possible with a club - ie mandatory meets, etc - but no one seems to care because they are doing everything around here.

We have no appointed officers, but that doesn't mean I'm not a "Founder" Who says the creater of a company or club has to also be its president or take care of everything.

So since I won't be bring a WRX on sunday, does that mean I'm not allowed to come? Wait, but if I don't come, am I out of the club?

This is rediculous. Nick is doing a good job. I wish he would come to me more about decisions and stuff, so I can try to help, but he doesn't. I can only help where I have time.

you mean right off of the exit (well sorta)? that's JT Maxies. I was thinking 'down the road' if y'all were interested, they have Karaoke on Saturday nights...we could do an outing or something.
RIGHT NEXT to Olive Garden is Red Lobster. Alot of good places to eat on that strip (wolf road)

Well I know I've thanked Nick and Ed for setting everything up online, but to be honest, I haven't seen anyone else do anything for the CLUB, including myself. Like I said before, I haven't had the time. I was trying to make a new logo for the site, that got pushed aside for now too. Collectively? Last time I check, no one emailed Nick back about anything. I didn't because its easier to talk to him on AIM. For the most part Nick, myself and Ed were going to try and keep things smooth and the website updated.

This is complete BS, and all because you DO care about what I have in my sig or else you would have never said ANYTHING.

There's no reason why anyone should be arguing about titles or status or anything.  We're all in this together and I think we've lost sight of that.

Mike (STomp) -- Who cares if he put UNYSOC founder in his sig? Not a big deal, I know you don't act like this in person.

I don't care who's in charge or who's president or anything like that.  I joined this place to have a good time and exchange information about Subaru's and hang out with people with similar interests.  

Also, it doesn't matter if you show up in a Subaru or not.  I showed up in my Volvo for a while before I had my WRX and nobody had a problem with it. I stayed out of the pictures obviously but its the general interest that counts.  Show up on a bicycle and I wouldn't judge you any differently.

Bottom line is....this should be fun.  Arguing on the internet isn't going to accomplish anything.

Apologies all around?  Put this behind us and wipe the slate clean.

I was acting childish. I'm sorry, but I felt that the idea was started by me and gabe, whether or not I've had the time to follow through with it. My semester is up soon, so I should have some more time to work on the site, etc. I'm working on the new logo now. Should be ready soon.

Ok, MY turn to jump in here... Yes i set up the first meet in the area last year, thats where i met mike, since then mike and I wanted to get together this year again and have another meet  thus he started to plan the meet we all attended... The Idea of a Car club  ( UNYSOC ) was brought up at the original meet as well only  this time we had the people and the interest in it thus  THIS SITE ..a site meant for PEOPLE and People with the same INTEREST.. no where have we ever mentioned that you HAVE to attend meets or HAVE to have your subaru with you at the meets.   SOooo if Mike wants to put  UNYSOC Founder in there or  EL Presidente  for that matter I personally see no problem with it because i know where hes coming up (the first two meets between eveyone on this board were arranged by me and him and the help of a few others . you knwo who you are )  I see no point for an argument since no ONE member has done anything by themselves, and if anyone deserves a majority of credit  i would throw it to ED for setting up this Forum that we are all using and Nick for TRYING to  get people invovled more than they are ..i mean whats goin on here are you goin to throw fits if I  put Co-Founder of UNYSOC as my sig.. i mean whos really goin to argue that point ? i set up the very first meet in this area so technicaly i would be correct no matter how much work i do or dont do in this club .its just a matter of accepting the fact that UNYSOC is here because of a handful of people regardless of how much work they do or dont do the club is still here because of them and i think that credit should also go to them .

I don't remember everyone from the meet, but I know I didn't meet anyone that was acting like you have been.

If you want to have a club that lasts you can't talk to people like that. After all we are only human, we make mistakes.  And you can't take everything from what you see/read on the surface. There is no tongue in cheek or inflection in our voices on the internet. Ask questions before you flip out or belittle people.
