Here is some bullshit politics again I need you all here to sign this please, Stop letting political influence run our daily lives that screw us all the time...

Sign here: http://www.nyspeed.com/savedunnville/petition.php

Cliff notes of the situation:

owner puts LOTS of money into a track next to a small airport out past Buffalo,
Track holds inexpensive track days at an extreme convenience to auto enthusiasts,
neighbors complain about safety (being next to an airport) and noise,
Town holds a meeting and claims the area is not zoned for that particular use,
Track has to cease all activities

Sign the petition to help their appeal to the town. PASS THIS TO EVERY FORUM YOU BELONG TOO

Hey well he attorney in you should try to see what you could do to help  :coolsmiley: after 5 years of being open I dunno...

That was my whole point of looking into the story but...
1. I realized it was in Canada...I can't do squat there.  If you know Canadians this sounds all too familiar.
2. I believe the story of this business goes like this...Plan to open business, receive resistance from community.  Open business, dump $$$ into business, and receive more community resistance.  Business finds out it is in violation of zoning ordinances, oops we already pissed off the community, oh well we will just apply for a zoning amendment/variance and oh dump some more $$$$.   Denied zoning application, oh well we will appeal, dump some $$$$, continue to receive resistance community, and conduct business in way that clearly violates the zoning ordinance.  Appeal process drags over several years, oh yeah community resistance remains strong, but what the heck why not spend more $$$.  Lose appeal, reasoning being that there was.......too much community resistance.  End of story!

Again not jabbing, just educating.  No reason to kick a dead horse.

Ahh I know the whole story about it BUT part of the reason to shut it down was a Trailer Park was losing people who come the for Vacation is kinda crazy because I dont know about you BUT a trailer park would not be a place I would go for a vacation. and I bet that would go for more than half the people in here
