after 5 years of being open I dunno...
That was my whole point of looking into the story but...
1. I realized it was in Canada...I can't do squat there. If you know Canadians this sounds all too familiar.
2. I believe the story of this business goes like this...Plan to open business, receive resistance from community. Open business, dump $$$ into business, and receive more community resistance. Business finds out it is in violation of zoning ordinances, oops we already pissed off the community, oh well we will just apply for a zoning amendment/variance and oh dump some more $$$$. Denied zoning application, oh well we will appeal, dump some $$$$, continue to receive resistance community, and conduct business in way that clearly violates the zoning ordinance. Appeal process drags over several years, oh yeah community resistance remains strong, but what the heck why not spend more $$$. Lose appeal, reasoning being that there was.......too much community resistance. End of story!
Again not jabbing, just educating. No reason to kick a dead horse.
